The Prep Redzone 7v7 circuit made it’s way through Oklahoma this weekend as the second annual Sooner State Shootout took place in Broken Arrow. We had a great weekend of football and saw so many players at all levels making plays both days. Congratulations to our champions of the tournament! TheUNIT Platinum continued their dominant offseason by winning the 18U title. Sooner 7 took home the 15U and 14U championships and had a runner up finish in 12U while Level Up 7v7 would win that 12U crown but they also had teams make the 18U and 15U championship games.
From player breakdowns in all divisions to photos and video highlights, Prep Redzone is committed to being America’s Most Covered 7v7 Circuit. The coverage before, during and now after the Sooner State Shootout is unmatched by any other 7v7 circuit! In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on 918 Elite and their 18U squad with a breakdown on three of their top players. It was a tough weekend for 918 Elite as they were missing a good chunk of their team on Saturday because of baseball and track. If they had their full roster, they would have been much more competitive and had a few more standouts to break down here. But after watching them on Saturday, despite missing some serious talent, these three players really stood out.
From the start of games on Saturday, Union 2025 tight end Myles Davis Myles Davis 6’2″ | 220 lbs | TE Union | 2025 State OK immediately caught our eyes once again. Not only for myself, but for another writer covering the event, Davis caught everything thrown his way and he does that time after time. There’s a reason he continues to be on these breakdowns and is a prospect to watch. He does not hurt your team ever. He might not have the size of other tight ends in this class or jump off the pages athletically but what he does is catch the ball and maximize his size with his catch radius. Davis is a very good football player and he certainly fits underneath the “hidden gem” label when it comes to recruiting. A school will take a chance on him and they won’t regret it.
Highlights
Beggs standout Ryan Grayson Ryan Grayson 6’0″ | 160 lbs | DB Beggs | 2025 State OK came into the tournament as one of the best two-way players in the tourney field. Last month, we saw the Beggs star absolutely steal the show at a tournament from the wide receiver position. This weekend, he did his damage on both sides of the ball. Just like Davis, it didn’t take long for Grayson to get going. In one of the first games of the tournament, Grayson ran a little crossing route, caught the ball, split the defense and raced into the end zone. Grayson has been a prospect in the state’s 2025 class that we’ve liked since literally early on in his freshman season. He is definitely a prospect that belongs near the top of the conversation for overall athletes. It doesn’t matter where he lines up, he makes plays.
Union 2025 quarterback and recent Utah commit Shaker Reisig Shaker Reisig 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Union | 2025 State OK continued to show why he’s one of the more accurate quarterbacks in the state’s prominent 2025 QB class. Every quarterback was having to battle not only the opposing defense but the windy conditions this weekend. Reisig did a good job of managing his way through that. Reisig started fast and continues to build chemistry with his offensive playmakers. For Reisig, on a 918 Elite team that is mostly made up of his Union teammates, this offseason and 7v7 circuit season is very important. It’s about finding the next playmakers for Reisig after Union lost the majority of their production at the wide receiver position. He took another step towards finding those guys this weekend.
