Who Is Trending Towards D1 Offers In The 2026 Class?

He does hold 1 D1 offer from Central Michigan from 2021, but he hasn't gotten a ton of attention since. I think with a solid season this fall, he could wind up stacking offers. He's a big physical TE at about 6'7, and right now his strength is blocking, though he does display some nice catching ability. He still has some polishing to do, but he has the thing you can't teach and that is size. He is a very athletic dual threat kid who can sling it and beat you with his feet. I see a lot of accuracy in both short and deep passing situations. I like his arm strength, and his play making ability as he throws on the run near the sideline. I think with a big 2024 season, he will likely turn the heads of some D1 schools looking for an athletic QB to lead their squad. I think he has all the makings to be a D1 caliber DB before it's over. He moves well, runs with any receiver he's matched up against, and shows a clear football IQ. He has great closing speed, and does a great job of staying disciplined and not biting on fakes. He's physical and refuses to be boxed out when he goes up to contest jump balls. Jones has good size, and a solid vertical that makes things difficult for whoever he is covering. He is a matchup nightmare at 6'4, and he really hurts teams deep and in the red zone. He runs good routes, and can get up field in a hurry to get behind the defense. He has an incredibly large catch radius, and he displays really good body control to bring down some difficult jump balls. I really like the way he can catch some really difficult passes as he will sprawl out, go up between defenders, snag it 1 handed. Any way to get the ball secured, he can do it. He plays in control, but like his hair is on fire. When I watched him, he showed he had the mental side of it down as he diagnosed plays quickly and took good angles. He also started to show some physicality, especially as the game wore on he was starting to lay some big time hits.
