It feels like yesterday that we were previewing the 2023 football season and the year was kicking off. Now, teams truly begin their journey on the road to Edmond. We put a spotlight on all of the top players in the playoffs and also give you more names to know in the postseason. The Red Devils just finished off a perfect regular season and look to make plenty of noise as we head into the playoffs. Senior Aiden Auld has been lights out this season for the Red Devils and he's going to be one of the more versatile players in the 2A playoffs. At quarterback, Auld is a true dual-threat option and can beat defenses with the pass and the run. Lynch has put up some really strong numbers offensively this season for the Bulldogs. For the second straight year, Lynch has been an all purpose yard monster for Meeker. It's the second straight season where he has at least 1,000 yards on the ground and over 500 yards receiving. This season, he's closing in on 2,000 yards of total offense. We don't take that statement lightly but the numbers back up the claim. This year, Hamilton has thrown for nearly 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns. He's also added over 1,600 yards and 27 touchdowns on the ground. He is an absolute monster at the quarterback position and has a legitimate chance of throwing for 2,000 yards and running for 2,000 yards and that is rare to do. With Hamilton at quarterback, Victory Christian is a serious threat in Class 2A this month.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["144767"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"The Chandler Lions could go on a run to start the playoffs and they could certainly be a team that's flying under the radar right now. They lost their quarterback late in the regular season to a season-ending knee injury so it's easy to overlook them. That would be a mistake. Senior Carson Clagg has had a spectacular season at the running back position and he was putting up monster numbers earlier in the year when they were at full strength. Senior Clayton Creasey has been one of the top quarterbacks in Oklahoma's 2024 class since taking over QB1 duties last season. He helped lead the Longhorns all the way to the semifinals before falling to eventual champion Washington. This season, Creasey has been lights out throughout the year. Even in some of their tougher games, he performed incredibly well. He's thrown for over 2,300 yards and 28 touchdowns with only one interception on the season. 28-1 is a pretty good touchdown to interception ratio. and the Saints are 9-1 coming into the playoffs with the lone loss coming to Millwood late in the regular season. Wilson is also a threat on the ground with nearly 500 yards and eight touchdowns rushing this season. Last season, King ran for well over 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns. This season, his workload and carries haven't been as high but he's still managed to score 20 touchdowns on the ground this season. Holdenville opens up the playoffs on the road against Purcell. We think that King is definitely one of the top players to watch this month. He's scored at least one touchdown in every game this season. Nickens is already considered one of, if not the top football prospect in the state. He's also one of the best basketball prospects in the state and it's been that way since before his freshman year in high school. Nickens is definitely one of the best wide receivers in the state because he can catch just about anything thrown remotely close to him. Heavener has won four in a row and they have a few playmakers, specifically on the offensive side of the ball that need some attention. For us, we've seen junior Jaxon Armstrong quite a bit over the last year or so. He really impressed us at a 7v7 tournament earlier this year while playing with C4 down in southern Oklahoma. Armstrong is your all around athlete that can do so many things well. Senior quarterback Jaxon Worley has been outstanding all season and he'll look to continue that this month. He's coming off a clutch performance in a week ten showdown with Victory Christian that captured the district championship. Worley ran in the game-winning touchdown in overtime. Sophomore Masyn Wright emerged last season as a freshman and has continued to elevate his game this fall. When Vian was contending for state championships just a few years ago, brothers Elijah and Solomon were terrorizing opponents and now Masyn is doing the same. The Wolverines tripped up in the final two regular season games and are a 3-seed coming into the playoffs. The Warriors were loaded coming into this season, with so much of their talent from last year's team returning on both sides of the ball. And despite missing one of their best playmakers, the Warriors are still rolling. Junior Matrail Lopez has been lights out for the Warriors all season in all three phases of the game. It doesn't matter where he lines up on the field, he seems to make plays every single week. Roberts caught what would be the game-winning touchdown to help win the gold ball after the Warriors made back to back trips to the state title game and settled for silver in 2020 and 2021. Roberts is without a doubt one of the top prospects in the state's 2025 class. He's similar to Nickens at Millwood where he is a complete match-up nightmare for opposing teams in Class 2A. Washington has a ton of playmakers and Roberts is one of them.","_player_evaluations_12_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_13_player":["188830"],"_player_evaluations_13_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_13_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_13_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_13_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_13_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_13_evaluation":"When we look at the eight district champions heading into the playoffs, Adair is certainly at the top of the list in terms of surprise teams. The Warriors went 2-8 last year and started off this season with an 0-3 record. They rattled off seven straight wins to capture the district title and senior Reece Jackson has made sure to lead the Warriors back to the postseason. Jackson has led the team in rushing this season and the Warriors have a legitimate two-headed monster in the backfield. This is a very good football team and junior quarterback Seneca Steele leads the way on the offensive side of the ball. The lefty is a very good looking quarterback and we've had a chance to see him in person and on film. He passes the eye test physically and he has some really good players around him to make plays. The Comets open up the playoffs against Pawhuska on the road.
