Continue ReadingAs the 2025 class continues to expand in terms of overall depth across the board, players are bound to “drop”. Selby has, yet my opinion of him has hardly changed. Selby’s five-minute sophomore tape shows he’s a viable option in the short/intermediate passing game. Good center of gravity allows him to start and stop well, leaving him open early in progressions. Gateway’s spread offense will have Selby working all over pre-snap, he’s such a trustworthy S/I route runner that I can’t help but see him as a safety blanket for Birch. He’s where he needs to be more often than not. 5’9, 165, unassuming in terms of build, as well as skills after the catch. Selby is a chain mover, as well as a kid who can get it done as a blocker outside the numbers. Viable DB at Gateway too, should be considered an ATH.
Blackhawk utilizes Tyler Heckathorn Tyler Heckathorn 6’4″ | 200 lbs | WR Blackhawk | 2025 State PA ‘s complete skillset all across the field. Heckathorn’s tape is going to provide quality OLB reps, his length and attitude on defense make him a solid weak-side linebacker option. The kid can cover ground, so TFLs and sacks will come naturally. I’m enamored with what he provides the offense when split out wide at receiver, however. I think his long-limbed body translates to WR at the next level, although the argument could be made for Heckathorn to gain weight and potentially play OLB, or even S. His stride, ability to stretch the field vertically and stack defenders when doing so gets me too excited for his potential at wideout. This kid could eat up hitches and slants for first-downs all the way down the field, his abilities after the catch are underrated, better than you’d expect a 6’4 pass-catcher to be. Blackhawk also likes to release Heckathorn when aligned tight next to tackles, plenty of production comes from this in-line alignment. Fantastic football player.
Bryce Werner Bryce Werner 6’1″ | 175 lbs | WR Archbishop Ryan | 2025 State PA , formerly out of LaSalle College HS, now at Archbishop Ryan, splashed onto our radar back in May at our Prospect Tour camp. Like I’ve said in previous posts, the kid would not be shown up by any prospect at the camp. He made his name known surrounded by a ton of stud names. That left quite the impression. Still, to get ranked, we need more than just a standout performance at our camps. Werner has since shared with me numerous clips, JV or Varsity aside, that have me believing he could be something special if given the opportunity this Fall. He’ll likely see an expanded role at ABR, a team I’ll end up watching live this coming Fall. Coupling Werner’s clips with his performance is enough of a case for me to label him a top 20 wideout in his class. That’s a floor too, I’ll either be proven right or wrong looking back at this in November.

James Dolan James Dolan 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR La Salle College Prep | 2025 State PA , another LaSalle College HS product, lands inside the top 150 after this update. His situation is similar to Werner’s, in terms of off-season looks being backed up by substantial tape. Dolan is well-equipped to handle being the focal point of passing sets. You can call gator/ bubble screens for James and let him work in open space, he’s the type of athlete you want working in open space. Great balance, good change of direction ability, twitchy without the ball, he’s certainly capable after the catch too. A kid who can turn lost yardage into something, can turn 1st-downs into 25+ yard plays. Dolan can run drags, posts, and corners if called upon to do so as well. What makes Dolan place above the rest, his ability to return punts and kicks, as well as provide real DB reps. His complete package will likely have him flirting with a future Top 15-10 ranking.

Here’s a new name, one that arguably has the most potential on this list. Markus Williams Markus Williams 6’3″ | 190 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA , 6’3, 190-pound wideout out of Imani Christian Academy, places inside the top 150 and narrowly ranks outside the top 15 at his position. Broad shoulders, a wide wingspan leave him as an obvious option at the position. This is a huge “what-if” ranking. The majority of his tape comes from one game, a game where competition looks hard to come by. Still, what could become of Markus Williams Markus Williams 6’3″ | 190 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA is a bit too exciting, we had to include him in our ranks. Deep curls, drags, slants, utilizing this big target in the middle of the field makes sense. The kid looks raw in terms of the nuances of the game, I believe he has a background in basketball if I’m not mistaken. If not, he looks like he does. There’s potential here, especially considering the talent he’s working with. Our eyes are peeled.
One of my favorite prospects, Rafael Terrero Rafael Terrero 6’4″ | 205 lbs | ATH Emmaus | 2025 State PA stays inside the top 150 despite us adding nearly 250 players across the board. A lot to like. 6’3, 200 pounds. James Dolan James Dolan 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR La Salle College Prep | 2025 State PA and Tyler Heckathorn Tyler Heckathorn 6’4″ | 200 lbs | WR Blackhawk | 2025 State PA are tough kids, I’d argue no player on this piece is tougher at every position he aligns than Terrero. A load to bring down after he catches the ball. You might tackle him as he’s making a catch, if he gets to tuck and run, you might need a second or third kid to come wrap up. Terrero is often called upon to work out of the screen game, the coaches trust him with the football in his hands clearly. Hitches, slants, out-routes were bread and butter last Fall, I wonder if his role and route tree will expand this coming campaign. In order for him to keep this ranking, he’d probably have to play both sides of the ball, or elevate production. Both could happen.
I could almost duplicate what I said about Werner here about Central York’s Nasir Ruppert Nasir Ruppert 6’3″ | 190 lbs | ATH Central York | 2025 State PA . We had 15+ wideouts stand out last camp, Nasir was one of them. Reason for Ruppert’s placement above the rest should be obvious. He carries the highest upside of any wideout listed above, more so than Markus Williams Markus Williams 6’3″ | 190 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA , in my opinion. Outstanding build with hands and stride to match. I’m unsure about the passing game situation at Central York, so we’ll see how many balls get thrown his way. Nonetheless, this is a kid who I’ll be glowing to speak about to coaches locally.
Towsen was previously listed inside the top ten. Just because he no longer ranks there doesn’t mean I’ve changed my grade on the kid. He’s still a top-ten-worthy target out of Germantown Academy. 6’1, 180 pounds, is a multi-sport kid, with 750 yards of offense on tape to show off. Probably the best producer on this list so far. Seven scores on about 40 catches last Fall, I’m expecting numbers to increase across the board, high expectations if I’m being real. On top of being one of the better producers, Towsen also boasts one of the better all-around skillsets of any wideout on this list. His athletic profile allows him to be a viable option across the entirety of the route tree. He can run, is tough pre-post release. Towsen can catch above his head or below the waist, can eat up underneath, or serve as a deep threat. This is a real weapon that not many in the state know about. I’ll gladly share his name moving forward.

Here’s the hot name I’m spreading to coaches across the country. Columbia’s Dominic Diaz-Ellis Dominic Diaz-Ellis 6’0″ | 170 lbs | WR Bishop McDevitt | 2025 State PA narrowly missed placing inside the top ten, yet his overall rank places him inside the top 100, one hell of a debut for the junior pass-catcher. This kid was a complete unknown to me before he came to our PRZ camp and dominated competition. Ever since I’ve been the kid’s biggest fan. The high praise is deserved and backed up by substantial tape. Somewhere between 5’11-6’0 tall, 160 pounds, DDE lights up the turf with the ball in his hands. This type of speed is usually found on much smaller prospects. DDE certainly isn’t the biggest kid in the world by any stretch, yet the outruns players like he’s 5’8, 150. He’s must-watch after the catch, from what I’m hearing, he’s going to have an even better junior year. I’d personally love to see him work as a punt/kick returner, could do wonders for his stock among college coaches.
Speaking of athletic profiles, there might not be a more gifted athlete in this piece than ACC’s Jareel Calhoun Jareel Calhoun 5’11” | 160 lbs | ATH Allentown Central Catholic | 2025 NJ . Stud on the track, his speed translates to the turf. The former PRZ camp standout boasts a 4.6 40-yard time, standing at 5’11 and weighing just under 160 pounds. Towsen might beat out Calhoun in terms of scores, yet the ACC junior reeled in 88 receptions for 775+ yards last Fall, both whopping numbers at this level. Ranks as the twelfth-best wideout in his class, yet Calhoun received real Top-8 consideration. He’s certainly worthy of that praise, as well as being inside the top 125. If you’re not actively attempting to thwart Calhoun at the LOS, either by pressing or being physical throughout the route, this kid will blow by you. He proves it on tape time and time again. Excels when stemming, understands how to utilize leverage to his advantage, expect Calhoun to force out hand in November and rerank him inside the top ten where he belongs.
