We can’t speak on the 2023 Friars without first mentioning one of the best, if not the best, pass-rushers the state has to offer 11.5 sacks, damn near a sack a game registered by Penn State commit Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA . The young man capitalized on all things, we got to see hard work and natural gifts work in tandem to create a premier prospect, one that has climbed the ranks to get where he is today. He took things up a notch on all facets of the game. Lifting, tape, production, Williams set the standard as a junior, now holds a high bar for any junior or underclassman on his team looking to replicate the success he’s had throughout the years.

Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA makes the leap, from a Watchlist kid to top 100, now to second overall among 2024 defensive linemen. Quite the meteoric rise. Similarly to Whittington, I’ve had the chance to see Williams grow into the prospect he is today. I got told left and right by those at Bonner that this kid was going to turn into something special. They were correct, more so than I ever imagined. Some media outlets have Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA as the top overall prospect in his class. I have a tough time ignoring what other prospects have done throughout the years, so an exponential leap like that is a bit unwarranted. That being said, Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA , with elite senior tape, is very much in the running for ANY spot on our rankings. The young man has put in the work behind the scenes, there’s no doubting that.

Williams is a prospect that’s really grown on us over the last few months and his offer list shows just how high quality of a prospect the Monsignor Bonner prospect is. Elite size, a great first step and burst, he’s got it all. Not only is he going to skyrocket his way into our top-25 but he has a chance to get into the top-10 or higher.

Awesome to see Mylachi’s development as a pass-rusher happen in real-time. Although capable, the TE designation stems from when I saw him make plays as a pass-catcher at some 7v7 events. Fast-forward to this Fall, Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA is legitimately one of the better pass-rushers in the PCL Blue. 6’5, with an understanding of leverage, Williams has totaled 27 TFLs, 11 sacks for Bonner and Prendie this Fall. I have been waiting to reflect his game on our rankings for some time, excited to finally do so for the 1st-Team All-Catholic ATH.
