Malvern Prep’s Bernard Blakey Bernard Blakey 6’6″ | 210 lbs | DL Malvern Prep | 2025 State PA has a ways to go to reach Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6’5″ | 220 lbs | DL Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA ‘ national status, yet he might not be as far as you think considering where Mylachi Williams Mylachi Williams 6’5″ | 220 lbs | DL Bonner-Prendie | 2024 State PA was this time last year. Dating back to Mylachi’s rise through the ranks, there were inklings to follow that Williams could develop into a Power Five prospect solely based on how his body was growing. We admittedly didn’t think 30+ offers were in his future. Yet here we are, with Bonner’s Williams rivaling Zahir Mathis Zahir Mathis 6’6″ | 230 lbs | DL Imhotep Charter | 2025 State PA ‘ status among the class of 2025. Special speed and bend off the edge, Williams is the ideal pass-rushing prospect that Power Five’s want to get a hold of and mold for themselves.
There is a young man currently in the reigns at Malvern Prep, one that could follow in Williams’ footsteps. That being EDGE/TE prospect Bernard Blakey Bernard Blakey 6’6″ | 210 lbs | DL Malvern Prep | 2025 State PA . 6’5, 210, excelling on the court and the track, you can’t help but see the number 88 and compare the two. It isn’t fair to expect 30+ offers to land on Blakey’s lap by this time next year, yet I wouldn’t be surprised to see Power Fives pull the trigger on the young man within the month. Very excited to get him ranked on the site.

Very similar statures, very similar interests, very similar skill sets to their names. One thing that hasn’t aligned between Imhotep’s Zafir Stewart Zafir Stewart 6’5″ | 330 lbs | OL Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA and Haverford’s Joshua Williams Joshua Williams 6’5″ | 300 lbs | OL The Haverford School | 2025 State PA is recruitment status. Zafir released a top three dating back to February of this year, leaving Rutgers, Nebraska, and Penn State as his lasting options. Illinois has recently offered the Imhotep 3-star.
Standing at 6’4, 300 pounds, Haverford’s Joshua Williams Joshua Williams 6’5″ | 300 lbs | OL The Haverford School | 2025 State PA projects similarly, although Williams might be kept inside the OL unit, although being capable of tackle responsibilities if need be. Joshua Williams Joshua Williams 6’5″ | 300 lbs | OL The Haverford School | 2025 State PA is finally beginning to see Power Five traction, recently earning an offer from Boston College. I fully expect Williams to reach the same status Stewart has reached by this time next year, with Rutgers, Temple, and other local FBS programs eventually pulling the trigger. There’s a lot to like concerning both prospects.

Being compared to Imhotep’s Kenny Woseley might be one of the better compliments a young DB can receive. That’s the possible projection I see in store for Bonner’s freshman corner. Already building quite the offer list, Abram has received love from Penn State, Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Temple in the form of offers.
Woseley II and Abram are both comparable in size, each standing at 5’11, with Woseley having a bit more meat on the bone, seeing as though the two are two years apart. There aren’t too many assignments on the field that fall outside of Kenny Woseley’s realm of capabilities, he can play outside the numbers, in the slot, safety if need be. Woseley is comfortable in several different coverages outside of base defense. Zone/man capable. Looking at Abram’s initial tape, he has a ways to go to emulate Woseley’s entire skill set at DB. A ton of butt-to-the-sidleine work. Comfortable at the LOS, great hand-eye coordination that leads to PBUs downfield. Great in run support, this aspect sets him apart from other DBs in his class. Reads and diagnoses the run well, with zero fear of planting his target into the turf.
Northeast’s Kahmir Prescott Kahmir Prescott 6’1″ | 190 lbs | ATH Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA and Roman Catholic’s Eyan Stead share vastly different builds. Kahmir stands at about 6’1, 190 pounds, whereas Stead is hardly touching 5’10, weighing in at a self-listed 160 pounds. I’ve had the pleasure of watching both prospects live, as well as their tapes. Production might not be comparable, but that’s not the point of this piece. When thinking of Prescott’s game, the word play-maker leaps into my mind immediately. Elite athleticism, athleticism that demands the football. Prescott has his hands in all aspects of the game, kick/punt return capable, a turnover-capable DB too. Prescott can easily be fed the ball on offense if need be too. He’s a premier athlete at Northeast HS.
I see the same future for Eyan Stead at Roman Catholic. Yes, Eyan will set up outside at DB well, he’s not going to back down from a single prospect in the state in terms of man coverage. Given his build, I imagine Stead will be used in multiple alignments at DB. I also imagine that Coach Prete will do what he can to feed Stead the ball at WR or RB, as his pure athleticism is too great to leave on the sideline. This larger role might not come this Fall, Stead will have to pay his dues and live with whatever role is provided, yet I can see the styles blending. Stead currently has one offer out of Boston College, whereas Prescott just got done releasing his Top Five about a month ago to the date.
I look at these two as mirror images almost. That’s one hell of a compliment I’m throwing Darren Jackson Darren Jackson 6’3″ | 185 lbs | LB Lansdale Catholic | 2026 State PA ‘s way, especially for a young man that hasn’t put too much tape out there yet. I can’t help but think of Chester’s Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6’5″ | 225 lbs | TE Chester | 2024 State PA when considering what kind of path Lansdale Catholic’s Darren Jackson Darren Jackson 6’3″ | 185 lbs | LB Lansdale Catholic | 2026 State PA could currently be on. Dom Toy’s a chiseled 6’5, 220-pound TE/DE prospect that has seen a considerable jump in recruitment over the past year or so, with Toy adding offers out of Penn State, Syracuse, Old Dominion, and East Carolina to name a few. Incredible athleticism displayed on both sides of the ball, production to match, Toy is a legitimate two-way star, I could see the same in Jackson’s future.
Darren Jackson Darren Jackson 6’3″ | 185 lbs | LB Lansdale Catholic | 2026 State PA ‘s a bit further along than Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6’5″ | 225 lbs | TE Chester | 2024 State PA was when he was a Freshman. Many are already excited about bringing Jackson in, with recent visits to Temple and Rutgers. Darren has a ways to grow to meet Toy’s current build, yet they are two years apart. I hardly imagine Jackson is done growing, currently listed at 6’3, 190 pounds. Excited to see Jackson work at OLB/EDGE and TE for LC this coming Fall.
