Bishop McDevitt vs. Good Counsel: Defensive standouts From Week 0

He made nine total tackles (five solo), deflected two passes, and intercepted another. Sherman has made a seamless transition into the safety position for the Crusaders and was flying to the football against both the run and pass. He made nine total tackles (three solo) and sacked the quarterback once. Good Counsel couldn't get much going in the passing or running game, and the front-seven of McDevitt (which included Miltsch), was a big reason why. Not the biggest, but Good Counsel had trouble blocking him because he was quicker than the bigger offensive linemen trying to block him. His interception late in the fourth quarter stopped any chances Good Counsel may have had at winning the football game. He also had the tough assignment of covering star wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1644197' first='Corey' last='Smith'] Jr. Smith wasn't shut down, but Chance and his teammates made sure he didn't beat them by himself. Chiles finished the game with 12 total tackles, two quarterback hits, and three quarterback pressures. Nice addition for the Falcons. Allen also had a pick-six that gave Good Counsel a little bit more hope later in the game. Baker had a couple of impressive pass breakups.
