Zahir Mathis
About Zahir
Expert Analysis

Mathis committed to Ohio State on Wednesday and like Coleman, we’ve talked a ton about Mathis throughout his high school career so far. Mathis has the potential to be an elite defensive end at the enxt level though we would like to see him flash his dominance on a more consistent basis as a senior but in terms of ceilings, no player in the class of 2025 has a higher ceiling arguably than the Imhotep standout.

is the best player in the 2025 class and flashed during the game. Standing 6’6 inches tall Mathis is an impressive-looking player. He knocked down several passes in the game and showed good athleticism. The only issue is at times he can disappear from the game, but skies the limit for Mathis.

Mathis is simply a top-of-the-line, elite talent. The 6-foot-6 defensive end from Imhotep Charter is just scratching the surface of his potential. Mathis has a great first step and is an explosive athlete. He’s already nearing 20 total scholarship offers as well. The Keystone State has been home to some truly elite pass rushers over the last few years and Mathis is the next in line of those prospects and has a chance to be the best of the bunch as well.
