‘s more reliable pass-catchers. As sure-handed a wideout as you can find at this event, I was fully expecting Werner to reel in balls headed his way, that he did. I was more focused on Werner’s acceleration and route running skills, this against some elite DBs. I witnessed Werner get open against the likes of Kevin Moore, a Delaware commit, as well as various stud DBs on DOGG WRLD and MD Octane. Witnessing Werner hold his own against comp outside of PA/NJ was great to see, If college coaches have any worry of this, I can expell any potential rumors. Great to see Werner work up close again.
Appreciate @PrepRedzone for recognizing me as a TOP PERFORMER in their 7on7 tournament. @MikeWakins @TorreySmithWR @PRZPAvic Just a step in the process. @RPOrecruits @RivalsFriedman @coachjfranklin @CoachWatkinsUNH @CoachBarese1 @CoachEMarcCuse @footballcoach79 pic.twitter.com/AnsojLPt4z

30+ catches, over 550+ yards through the air, seven scores. Probably somewhere around five interceptions, 10+ PBUs. A phenomenal athlete who is proving any potential doubters wrong. He can work at La Salle, he can work at Ryan, he’s putting in work at the Pennington School.
6’1, 185 pounds. 4.52 GPA, reclassified to 2026 as part of the transfer out of AB Ryan. Is/was a former hooper.

‘s corner. I’ve had an extensive look at all things Werner, whether that be through the camp scene, or during his time in the PCL, I’m all too familiar with his two-way prowess, it’s great to see him carve out a serious role on a program littered with talent. Werner is the X at Pennington, serving as the pass-catcher to game plan against if you’re an opposing DC. Some of the best hands I’ve seen, a pure catcher of the football who can reel in the rock low, high, in awkward positions, through traffic, through hands, limbs, in bad weather. His hand-eye coordination is through the roof. He’s a wideout that should see serious FCS love. I could be biased, yet I wouldn’t be surprised to see him receive attention from local G5s. Worth noting, Werner is a starting safety and corner capable prospect at this level. He’s going to play wideout in college, but the kid is a gamer who can’t be left off the field. He caught the game-winning/ending interception in the game I attended against the Hill School.
Here is my MID SEASON highlights!! @MikeWakins 20 rec / 400 yds / 5 tds /8 pbu / 1 int / 18 tackles. @PRZPAvic @BrendanScoutsNJ @RivalsCorey @EdOBrienCFB @RivalsFriedman @RPOrecruits @CUFBrecruiting @CoachEMarcCuse @footballcoach79 https://t.co/mUZ7UiapHB

is a target that does many subtle, nuanced things well at wide receiver. What caught my eye about Werner was his ability to slice through the levels of the defense, gradually – and sneakily – gaining more depth on his routes as he ascended to the latter levels. Additionally, we see the rising junior rise up to high point the ball and use his hands. Werner also does a great job of securing the catch through contact. Also a strong defender, we see Werner get good breaks on the ball, while also opening up correctly to the correct leverage when in pass coverage. With the majority of his film being offensive clips, he was ranked as a receiver; however, with the touch of defensive clips included I think, personally, I like him better as a defensive back.

, fresh off a top five performance at the PRZPA Stock Up Showcase, took a short trip to Temple after accepting a JDI from the Philly program. The Temple connection is alive and well after this promising Winter. Werner also recieved JDIs out of Princeton and Cornell recently. Happy to see him moving in the recruiting world.

was another excellent receiver who attended the showcase. Werner runs good routes and catches the ball very well. He showed all his skills the entire camp. I came away very impressed with him. Werner showed many skills, and if he continues to work on his speed he should get plenty of College Football looks.

did a good running route and catching the ball at the Prep Redzone Showcase. Werner showed a good ability to get in and out of his breaks. Then when the camp switched to one-on-one he showed a good ability to run routes and catch the ball. Werner earned a 2nd team selection.

are off to hot starts, the Catholic League duo accounting for 30 receptions and 400 yards between the two juniors. - Morgan and Werner went off against a Wood secondary that had no answer for the duo’s contrasting styles. Love that we have each ranked inside the top 20 at their position, their outputs are proving us right.
- Production was stifled against PJP2, yet Werner still came away with an interception, one he would return for a touchdown. These two are worth a trip to see in person.

, formerly out of LaSalle College HS, now at Archbishop Ryan, splashed onto our radar back in May at our Prospect Tour camp. Like I’ve said in previous posts, the kid would not be shown up by any prospect at the camp. He made his name known surrounded by a ton of stud names. That left quite the impression. Still, to get ranked, we need more than just a standout performance at our camps. Werner has since shared with me numerous clips, JV or Varsity aside, that have me believing he could be something special if given the opportunity this Fall. He’ll likely see an expanded role at ABR, a team I’ll end up watching live this coming Fall. Coupling Werner’s clips with his performance is enough of a case for me to label him a top 20 wideout in his class. That’s a floor too, I’ll either be proven right or wrong looking back at this in November.

I had my list of names I liked early on. One kid, in particular, didn’t let me take my eyes off of him. Incredible catch after incredible catch, special release after special release. This was a case where

would not be denied the attention and love his performance deserved. It got to the point where coaches, as well as myself, had to acknowledge the sophomore out of LaSalle College. We had a special group of DBs present, yet the kid no one knew made sure we knew his name afterward. I can say that

is squarely on my radar moving forward. I’ll be seeing him before the offseason ends. Incredible body control, with a radius to catch inaccurate balls under the knees or above the elbows.
