Future High School: The Pennington School
Coming into the PRZ Next Middle School Combine, I had a good idea of who the MVP candidates would be at each position. The kid they call “Bam” was certainly on that short list, but he separated himself pretty quickly during individual position drills. He’s up seven pounds since the December showcase-now 177-pounds, but his quickness in short proximity was the difference-maker. His performance at the combine was a great way to end the same week, where he publicly announced his commitment to The Pennington School for high school ball.

Bam Peltzer was one of the clear favorites for top performing linebacker last weekend in New Jersey. A truly elite linebacker, Bam shined in every event and drill that took place at the Next Northeast camp. Bam is built differently than your average 8th grade backer. With great size already and an athletic build, Bam impressed with his on the field skills and how he handled live drill against the RBs. No runners were able to get by Bam in the 1 on 1 drills as he was able to break down, keep his feet moving, and explode out of a low position to square up with the runner. Bam is going to be one of the top linebackers in New Jersey when the time comes, just wait and see.

First saw him in December 2023 as a member of the AYF Jersey Shore 12U All-Stars. A year later, he’s playing for the newly-formed St. James Royals Pop Warner program. Primarily a MLB, he reads, reacts and gets down hill quickly. Also plays Fullback on offense.
