Incase you missed any event coverage, here are the articles currently published related to the Jersey Juice Underclassman Showcase:
Most Valuable Player: Running Back
Maybe it was because he was surrounded by his Orange and Blue Gang, but Wallace was the most valuable player from the Jersey Juice Underclassman Showcase at the running back position. It was as clear as the day’s sky was blue that he runs with a good pad level. We can see that Wallace is a stout running back. On the field this translated to having good body control – he did not have wasted movements nor did he have any trouble with balance. Finally, Wallace has show he can plant a foot, make a cut, and giddy up. These attributes led him to win matchups all morning long and thus the camp’s MVP at running back.
Most Valuable Player: Receiver
Murray was the clear-cut, hands-down best receiver at the showcase. Blessed with size, the Camden product also possesses a set of strong hands, catching and coming up with everything thrown in direction. Murray also has great speed, quickly leaving defenders in the dust. Combine this with the sharp, crisp routes he runs and how he can throw a route fake in there from time-to-time, how could you defend such a player? Murray was the best receiver I saw and, at a minimum, an FCS talent in the opinion of the coaches on-site.
Most Valuable Player: Offensive Line
Habersham is a massive young man. Towering in height and intimidating in stature, he was the biggest linemen on attendance. With this, he demonstrated great power in his pass protection punch and quickly generated vertical movement on down-linemen with his leg drive. For a man his size he has adequate bend and relentless physicality that wears down a defense. He has a strong base, does not over step, and avoids making false steps. As just a rising sophomore, expect Habersham’s game to only improve with another year in the weight room, running ladders, pushing the sled, and with game experience.
Most Valuable Player: Quarterback
Zamot showed why he is one of The Garden State’s great QBs, and arguably the best “pure” QB in his class. Head and shoulders above every other QB in camp, Zamot demonstrated very few holes in his game. He has strong fundamentals and technique, while also maximizing the zip on his ball through weight transfer and activating his hips. However, what impressed me the most finally getting to see him in person was how he is an artist and the football is his paint brush. Zamot was placing the ball exactly where he wanted it with each and every throw he took. He put on an absolute clinic placing the ball exactly where it needed to be for his receivers, and his receivers only, to make a play on it.
