We will be taking a look at some the top performers at the event divided by class year, positions and home state, and listed alphabetically. For more Combine coverage, please check out the links at the bottom of the page.
Robert Collins Jr Robert Collins Jr 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Staley | 2025 State MO ., Staley
Collins, who plays defensive back and wide receiver, measured in at 5-feet-10 and 154 pounds. He turned in a strong all-around day, running the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds, recording a pro-agility time of 4.43 seconds, a powerball toss of 29 feet 7 inches, a broad jump of 9 feet and a vertical leap of 30 1/2 inches.
Collins has good athletic traits, decent size for a 2025 perimeter player and nice film from his first high school season. He looks like another good player in the pipeline at Staley.
Josiah Houston Josiah Houston 5'8" | 135 lbs | DB De Smet | 2025 State MO , De Smet
Houston measured in at 5-8 and 137 pounds and turned in a pro-agility time of 4.53 seconds, a powerball toss of 31-8 and a broad jump of 8-6 to go along with a vertical leap of 26 1/2 inches.
Houston, who has the ability to play cornerback or safety, is a smaller defensive back right now but his film shows he isn’t afraid to play physical and come up and make tackles.
Mariano Rodriquez Mariano Rodriquez 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Lafayette County | 2025 State MO , Lafayette County
Rodriguez, who measured in at 5-10 and 139 pounds and also plays wide receiver, recorded a pro-agility time of 4.28 seconds, a broad jump of 8-10 and a vertical leap of 28 inches. He also threw the powerball 26-5.
Zakiese Smith Zakiese Smith 5'9" | 160 lbs | DB CBC | 2025 State MO , CBC
Measuring in at 5-8 and 131 pounds, Smith turned in two of the top marks on the day in the pro-agility drill (4.01 seconds) and the vertical leap (33 inches). He also recorded a broad jump of 9 feet, a 40-yard dash time of 4.81 seconds and a powerball toss of 29-1.
Smith isn’t a player we knew much about before the Combine, but with those athletic traits we are excited to follow him during his sophomore season this fall.
Justin Terry Justin Terry 5'10" | 155 lbs | DB De Smet | 2025 State MO , De Smet
Terry, a 5-10, 157-pounder, had a strong all-around day. He turned in a sub 4 second pro-agility time at 3.97 seconds and recorded one of the better 40 times among the 2025 prospects at the Combine at 4.7 seconds. He also recorded a 30-inch vertical leap, a broad jump of 8-6 and a powerball toss of 30 feet.
Terry will be an intriguing player to watch this fall with what figures to be a rebuilding De Smet defense with a new head coach in John Merritt.
