We will be taking a look at some the top performers at the event divided by class year, positions and home state, and listed alphabetically. For more Combine coverage, please check out the links at the bottom of the page.
Tionne Gray Tionne Gray 6'5" | 305 lbs | DL Hazelwood Central | 2024 State MO , Cardinal Ritter
Gray, who measured in at 6-5 and 275 pounds, listed himself as a tight end and we wrote about him in our write-up of that position, but with his size and skill set we wanted to also include him here because he may end up being a prospect as an offensive (or even a defensive) lineman.
Gray played his sophomore season at Carnahan but is now at Cardinal Ritter. At Carnahan, he caught three passes for 29 yards and recorded 55 tackles and five sacks as a defensive lineman.
He ran a 5.1 40-yard dash, a 5.19 pro-agility, a powerball toss of 36-6, a broad jump of 8 feet and a vertical leap of 21 inches, numbers that exceed what many of the top offensive linemen posted at the Combine.
Kellen Lindstrom Kellen Lindstrom 6'5" | 245 lbs | DL Glendale | 2024 State MO , Glendale
Lindstrom, who is also a baseball player, has an ideal edge rusher’s frame at 6-5 and 223 pounds. He had a good all-around day, recording a 4.56 pro-agility time, a broad jump of 9 feet, a 5.13 40, a powerball toss of 34-5 and a vertical leap of 25 inches.
Lindstrom has already been a productive player on the varsity level and continues to get better and better. He recorded 90 tackles and two sacks as a sophomore after a freshman campaign where he reportedly started every game and recorded 68 tackles.
Dylan Niles Dylan Niles 6'5" | 215 lbs | DL Southern Boone | 2024 State MO , Southern Boone
Niles is an intriguing prospect who measured in at 6-5 1/4 and 214 pounds and turned in a nice all-around day. He recorded a pro-agility time of 4.34, a powerball toss of 38 feet, a broad jump of 8-4 and a vertical leap of 27 inches.
Caleb Redd Caleb Redd 6'3" | 200 lbs | DL De Smet | 2024 State MO , De Smet
Redd measured in at 6-3 and 202 pounds, which makes him the lightest defensive lineman on this list. He may be more accurately listed as a 3-4 edge rusher, because of his body type, but he does play down as a defensive end in a 4-3. He recorded 45 tackles, a team-high six sacks, one fumble recovery and one interception as a sophomore.
Redd showed off his speed and athleticism at the Elite Combine. He ran the 40 in 4.78 seconds, recorded a pro-agility time of 4.5, a broad jump of 8-10 and a vertical leap of 30 inches.
Redd needs to get stronger and add weight to his lanky frame, but he’s a disruptive defensive player who has already had success at the varsity level for a strong program that plays a difficult schedule. As he continues to get bigger and stronger, he’ll be a problem for opposing offensive tackles.
Isaiah Rubio Isaiah Rubio 6'2" | 255 lbs | DL Lutheran-St. Charles | 2024 State MO , Lutheran St. Charles
Rubio, who measured in at 6-1 1/2 and 218 pounds, had a nice all-around day. He ran the 40 in 4.79 seconds, recorded a 4.82 pro-agility time, threw the powerball 34-2, broad jumped 7-6 and had a vertical leap of 24.7 inches.
The Lutheran St. Charles defensive end, who was a key player during the Cougars’ state championship run, recorded 84 tackles (third on team), a team-high seven sacks and two fumble recoveries during his sophomore season. As a freshman, he recorded 27 tackles in four games on the varsity level.
Like Redd, Rubio is on the lighter side for a 4-3 defensive end, but has a good frame with room to add weight. He could also emerge as a nice prospect as a 3-4 edge rusher.
Anthony Thompson Anthony Thompson 6'1" | 275 lbs | DL Parkway North | 2024 State MO , Parkway North
Thompson, who measured in at 6-0 1/2 and 275 pounds, had a monster sophomore season when he recorded 61 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 13 sacks and four fumble recoveries — leading the Vikings in sacks and fumble recoveries and finishing second in tackles.
Thompson doesn’t have ideal size as a defensive tackle at the next level, which could scare some programs away, but he’s a highly-productive player who makes an impact. He already has a Division I offer from Long Island University and will attract plenty of interest from schools.
