We will be taking a look at some the top performers at the event divided by class year, positions and home state, and listed alphabetically. For more Combine coverage, please check out the links at the bottom of the page.
Mason Burke Mason Burke 6'4" | 275 lbs | ATH Wentzville Holt | 2024 State MO , Holt
We are starting off the sophomore tight ends list with a prospect who isn’t actually a tight end, but we are including Burke here because his size — he measured in at 6-foot-2 and 237 pounds – makes him a potential tight end at the next level.
Burke is one of the bigger running backs around but he also plays defensive end and linebacker. At the Combine, he recorded a pro-agility time of 4.52 seconds, a broad jump of 8 feet 4 inches, a vertical leap of 24 inches and a powerball toss of 37 feet 2 inches.
As a sophomore, Burke rushed for 226 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 4.7 yards per carry, and recorded one tackle. With Holt graduating its leading rusher, Burke would likely be the leading candidate to get a bulk of the workload and we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a 1,000-yard rusher as a junior.
Tionne Gray Tionne Gray 6'5" | 305 lbs | DL Hazelwood Central | 2024 State MO , Cardinal Ritter
Gray, who measured in at 6-5 and 275 pounds, played his sophomore season at Carnahan but is now at Cardinal Ritter. At Carnahan, he caught three passes for 29 yards and recorded 55 tackles and five sacks as a defensive lineman.
With his impressive size, Gray could project as a tight end, offensive lineman or defensive lineman at the next level.
He ran a 5.1 40-yard dash, a 5.19 pro-agility, a powerball toss of 36-6, a broad jump of 8 feet and a vertical leap of 21 inches, decent numbers for a 275-pound sophomore who should continue to get better and better.
Ryan Jostes Ryan Jostes 6'6" | 260 lbs | TE Washington | 2024 State MO , Washington
Jostes, who measured in at 6-6 and 243 pounds, is the most traditional tight end of the prospects on this list but, like the other two, could end up playing another position in college. He could grow into an offensive or defensive lineman at the next level, but he’s a legitimate Division I prospect with his size, strength and overall athleticism.
The Washington tight end recorded one of the top powerball tosses on the day at 41-3 to go along with a 5.07 40, 4.44 pro-agility, 8-8 broad jump and 27-inch vertical leap.
