Not only is Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY the top ATH in the class of 2023, he is also our second ranked overall player in the state of Kentucky. Bryant had a tremendous senior year, helping lead Frederick Douglass to their first 5A State Championship victory. While his stats or deceiving due to limited snaps in blowout victories throughout the season, Bryant produced at a high rate when on the field. On defense, Bryant lined up at safety and finished the year with 22 tackles, three tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and two interceptions. He is a ballhawk on the back end of the secondary, reading the quarterback and covering a ton of ground to make a play on the ball. Bryant times his breaks perfectly to defend the pass before the receiver has a chance to catch it. He also does a great job against the run, filling the lane and making tackles in the open field. Bryant also played a key role on offense at running back, showing great vision with the ability to run away from the defense and make defenders miss in the open field. He finished the season with 64 carries for 498 yards and 12 touchdown. Bryant also proved to be a dangerous play maker on special teams, returning three punts for touchdowns this season. His play in the 5A State Championship Game earned him MVP honors. Bryant is committed to Kentucky where I see him becoming a key part of their secondary.

In his final season of high school football, Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY continued to show that he is one of the best football players in the entire state. Bryant played a huge role on both sides of the ball for the Broncos but I still like him best on the defensive side of the ball. When on the field, Bryant performed very well at safety, finishing the year with 22 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery. He has a true center fielder’s mentality on the back end, showing the ability to read the play and cover a ton of ground quickly to make a play on the ball. Bryant times his breaks perfectly to come away with interceptions without breaking stride. He also does a great job of providing run support, filling the lane and showing that he is a reliable tackler in the open field. Bryant also played a big role on offense at running back and returned three punts for touchdowns on special teams. Bryant’s play in the 5A State Championship Game earned him MVP honors. Ty is committed to stay at home and play for Kentucky where I see him developing into a key player down the road.

Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY is another player that I’ve been high on for a while now as he has consistently been one of the best players in the state over the last few seasons. Bryant is a dominant safety on defense where I believe to be his strength. He didn’t get to play as much as other players throughout the state due to starters being sat early in most games during blowout wins but he still made an impact when on the field, finishing his senior year with 22 tackles, three tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and two interceptions. Bryant is a ball hawk on the back end, doing a great job of reading the play and covering a ton of ground when the ball is in the air. He times his breaks on the ball perfectly and has the ball skills to catch interceptions in stride. Bryant also made a big impact on offense as a running back, showing great vision, strength, speed, and elusiveness  in the open field as a ball carrier. He finished the 2022 season with 64 carries for 498 yards and 12 touchdowns. Bryant also showed ability as a returner on special teams, returning three punts for touchdowns this season. Ty played a key role in the Broncos’ 5A State Championship victory, earning MVP honors. Bryant is committed to stay at home and play for Kentucky where I see him developing into a key player for the Wildcats.

Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY proved once again this season to be one of the best players in the entire state. While he could’ve made both my All-Tournament Team Offense and Defense, I really liked what I saw from him at safety. Bryant made his mark during the playoffs, finishing with 12 total tackles, one tackle for loss, 0.5 sacks, and an interception. He is a true ball hawk at safety, showing the ability to read routes and the quarterback and cover a ton of ground once the ball is in the air to make a play. Bryant is able to time his breaks on the ball perfectly to catch interceptions in stride and break up passes. He is also a great communicator in the secondary, making pre-snap adjustments on a regular basis. Bryant also proved to be a very dangerous returner on special teams and was the go-to guy in the Broncos’ backfield on offense in key moments. His play in the 5A State Championship Game helped earn him MVP honors. Ty is committed to stay at home and play at Kentucky where I see him developing into a very productive player for them down the road.

Over the past couple seasons, Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY has established himself as one of the best players in the entire state. He continued to lead his team and stepped up in big moments this past Friday. On offense, Bryant was one of three main running backs featured in the Broncos’ offense and was the back that they leaned on down the stretch. He showed that he is tough to bring down as he has the strength to keep his legs churning to break tackles without breaking stride. Once he hits the open field, Bryant showed that he has the ability to make defenders miss and the speed to simply run away from the defense. He finished the game with 14 carries for 104 yards and a long touchdown run that sealed the victory for the Broncos. Bryant also continued to impress on defense at safety, doing a great job of communicating before the snap and filling the lane against the run, finishing the game with three tackles. Ty will get the chance to perform at his future home this weekend as he is committed to Kentucky.

Over the past few seasons, Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY has established himself as one of the best players in the entire state. While he made an impact on both sides of the ball this year, I continued to like him the most on defense at safety. Although his reps were limited due to being pulled early in blowout wins, Bryant produced when on the field, finishing his senior regular season with ten tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception. Bryant plays with a center fielder mentality at safety, reading route combinations and putting himself in a position to make a play on the ball. When the ball is in the air, he has shown the ability to cover a lot of ground quickly to make a play. Against the run, Bryant does a good job of coming downhill to provide support and is a very reliable open field tackler. Ty has committed to stay at home and play at Kentucky where I expect him to develop into a key player for them down the road.

Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY has truly established himself as one of the best players in the state over the past few seasons. We had him as our fifth overall player in the class of 2023 and he has continued to live up to the hype. His stats for this season are deceiving as most of the Broncos’ games have been blowout victories in which the starters were pulled at halftime. However, he has taken advantage of his opportunities that he has been given. In the time he has played, Bryant has accounted for 22 carries for 206 yards and nine touchdowns as a running back while accounting for ten tackles, two tackles for loss, and an interception on defense. As a ball carrier, he shows great vision and comes downhill in a hurry once the running lane opens. He also has tremendous speed and elusiveness in the open field which he uses to break off on long runs at any given moment. While he is great on offense, I believe he will be best suited on defense at the next level as he is a very talented safety. Bryant is a true ball hawk on the backend with the ability to read the throw and cover ground in a hurry to make a play on the ball. He shows tremendous ball skills, catching the ball at its highest point and has shown the ability to return interceptions for touchdowns as well. Bryant is also a very sound and physical tackler in the open field, filling the lane to provide support against the run. Ty also has shown special teams value, returning three punts for touchdowns this season. Bryant is committed to stay at home and play at the University of Kentucky where I expect him to develop into a key player for them.

The next player on my list needs no introduction as he is one of the best players in the state. Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY is not only the top defensive back in the city of Lexington but in the state as a whole. He lines up at safety and shows a true center fielder mentality with the ability to read routes and break on the ball to catch interceptions in stride and take them back for a touchdown. Bryant has the ability to cover ground quickly and make plays when it looks like he is out of position to do so. He also does a great job of filling the lane and providing support against the run. Ty is committed to stay home and play for Kentucky where I expect him to develop into a key player for them.

Ty Bryant Ty Bryant 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Frederick Douglass | 2023 State KY is a player that made a name for himself in the recruiting scene early in his high school career. On defense, he is the best safety in the state. He does a great job of reading route concepts and putting himself in position to make plays. Bryant also shows the ability to play with a true “center fielder” mentality, showing the ability to play between the hashes and cover ground quickly when the ball is in the air. When the ball is thrown his way, he shows tremendous ball skills, catching the ball at its highest point and showing the ability to take the interception for a touchdown. On offense, he plays running back and shows the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field and speed to run away from the defense. Bryant has also seen some time as a returner on special teams on occasion. Ty is committed to play for his hometown team, Kentucky, at the next level and could grow into a key piece for the Wildcats.
