LaMonte Brown Jr. LaMonte Brown Jr. 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY is another defensive lineman who stood out as a freshman. Brown played at Bryan Station last season where he lined up at defensive tackle. He was very disruptive as a pass rusher, showing the quickness to shoot the gap and blow by opposing offensive linemen with ease on his way to the quarterback. Brown was also reliable against the run, showing the ability to stack and shed blocks quickly then get to the ball carrier to make the tackle in the open field. LaMonte doesn’t currently hold any offers but should have a lot of eyes on him as he joins a very talented Frederick Douglass program.

LaMonte Brown Jr. LaMonte Brown Jr. 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY is a player who stood out to me when watching freshman year film. He played at Bryan Station as a freshman where he was very impressive as a defensive tackle. As a pass rusher, Brown showed the ability to use speed to shoot the gap before the opposing offensive linemen could react. He finished this past season with two sacks and several quarterback hurries in 10 games. Brown also showed the ability to stop the run, finishing the year with 14 tackles and two tackles for loss. LaMonte doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect a lot of eyes to be on him after making the transfer to Frederick Douglass for his sophomore year.

I am additionally impressed with LaMonte Brown Jr. LaMonte Brown Jr. 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY , a defensive lineman at Frederick Douglass High School. Brown makes a considerable difference with his size and core strength, showcasing his ability to breach the pocket and attack the running back. Brown’s ability to quickly overwhelm the offensive line and force the quarterback to throw the ball away is another facet of his game that impresses me.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is LaMonte Brown Jr. LaMonte Brown Jr. 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY , a defensive lineman at Bryan Station High School. Brown’s execution off the snap and ability to read the offense like a book made a big difference last season, using his physical edge and outstanding strength to shut down the running game in the pocket. I also like how Brown can remain durable and muscle his way to the quarterback for the sack.

Coming in at number five on my list is LaMonte Brown Jr. LaMonte Brown Jr. 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY , a defensive lineman at Bryan Station High School. Brown makes a considerable difference at the line of scrimmage due to his size and ability to overpower the opposition with his core strength and physical edge. I also like how Brown can apply pressure on and sack the quarterback, proving his commanding stopping power and ability to force the occasional loose ball.

Also worth mentioning is LaMonte Brown Jr. LaMonte Brown Jr. 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Frederick Douglass | 2027 State KY , a defensive lineman at Bryan Station High School. What I like about Brown is his ability to quickly breach the pocket and disrupt the quarterback, utilizing his speed and strength off the snap to make commanding stops in crucial moments. I also like Brown’s ability to pounce on the gunslinger before he can release the ball.

rnAlso worth mentioning is , a defensive lineman at Bryan Station High School. Brown and the Defenders fell 41-20 to Trinity in the Class 6A championship game last week. What makes Brown so dangerous on the defensive end is his ability to read the offense like a book, instantly suffocate the rush and make commanding stops. Another aspect of Brown’s playstyle that makes a difference is his ability to stun the offense with his strength and quickly apply pressure on the quarterback. I also like how Brown forces mistakes with his quick execution, defensive aggression and stopping power.

While Brady Hull Brady Hull 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Pulaski County | 2027 State KY and Fisher Brinegar Fisher Brinegar 6'6" | 315 lbs | OL Moody | 2027 State AL appear to be offensive lineman through and through, Brown Jr. looks to be a true defensive lineman. He’s on the roster at 6-foot and 240 pounds but looks an inch or two taller than that, to me. Brown Jr. could be a nice chess piece on the defensive line because he’s thick enough to rumble on the interior line, but also possesses the length to play on the end. Certainly a valuable commodity to play against the run.
