McWhorter has had himself a nice senior season. Measuring in at 5’9 180-pounds, he has 165 carries for 913 yards with 9 touchdowns, 34 receptions for 442 yards, and 5 touchdowns. He has very good athletic ability due to elite change of direction, very good acceleration, speed, and balance. He has very good vision and uses his quick burst of speed to create mismatches on defense. Dynamic juke moves to make defenders miss. Very quick feet. Very good inside running. He’s a weaver but isn’t afraid of putting his shoulder down. McWhorter gains yards after contact by having defenders slide off him. Very good catching and ball tracking. He’s an electric player and I’m excited to see how he does tomorrow.

McWhorter brings elite explosiveness to the backfield. Despite only 52 touches last season, he made every one count, showcasing game breaking speed and a fearless running style. McWhorter displays excellent vision, able to diagnose defenses, bounce runs outside, and turn upfield in a flash. He’s also a true dual-threat back, contributing 115 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns through the air. If he receives an increased workload this season, McWhorter has the tools to break out in a major way and attract the attention of college programs being a name to know.

, so he didn’t have a lot of opportunities to shine. However, when he did, he made the most of them. Through 5 games, he had 25 carries for 231 yards and 4 touchdowns. McWhorter has very good athletic ability due to elite change of direction, very good speed, acceleration, and balance. When the ball is in his hands, he uses his home run speed to run past defenders. McWhorter uses his very good vision to ID the correct holes and rush through them. He has an elite juke move and uses very dynamic cuts to break defender’s ankles creating space in between them. McWhorter runs zigs and zags through the defense. However, he will run to the safety, putting his shoulder pads down to truck through him. He also gains extra yardage by falling forward. I noticed he transferred to Ponderosa, where he will get more of an opportunity to show off his electric skills. I’m very excited to see McWhorter with a bigger role in the offense.

Troy was electric when the ball was in his hand. He had 3 carries for 116 yards and 2 TDs. With the game already in hand for Legend, McWhorter didn’t let that stop him from having a great game. He had 2 breakaway touchdowns with his home run speed. The defense couldn’t keep up with him. Great straight line speed with good vision to create these big plays at the LOS. He is only a sophomore with a ton left to grow. I’m excited to see more of what he can do in the future!
