Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Capehart measures in at 6’4 295-pounds and can play either offensive tackle or offensive guard. He’s been lockdown for Ponderosa this past season and is refining his technique with Coach McChesney. Capehart has good initial quickness out of his stance with very good hand speed. Maintains a low pad level due to his very good knee bend, balance, body control, and good flexibility. Very good strength, hand placement, and hand strength. On film, he does a great job using his speed to reach first to 2nd level blocks. Controls and steers the DL to create rushing lanes. He has good foot quickness and stays controlled throughout. Very good anchor, neutralizing pass rush techniques. He just recently earned his first D1 offer from Columbia and second from Princeton! I believe he will be gaining more soon!

Maintains a low pad level due to his good knee bend and flexibility. Very good hand strength and hand placement to control his opponent in 1 on 1s. Locked out the bull rush and used his good hand speed to combat pass rushing moves. Very good anchor. Capehart is a smart kid earning looks from Harvard, Yale, and Brown. He’s got a bright future ahead of him !
