Wright is an exciting prospect at tight end. He measures in at 6’4 205-pounds accounting for 16 receptions for 237 yards and 2 touchdowns. Wright has good athletic ability due to very good balance, jumping, good acceleration, speed, and change of direction. Good release at the line of scrimmage. Escapes hold up at the line of scrimmage and sneaks out as an easy completion. Good separation quickness. Wright finds an open spot in the void exploiting it or will fight through contact to get open. He excels at catching. Very good ball tracking and catching. Very good body control and ball adjustment. Very good blocking skills. He has very good strength, hand placement, and hand strength. Uses his good knee bend and flexibility paired with very good foot quickness to lock out and match the DL. Great tight end.

Wright has good athletic ability due to very good jumping, balance, good acceleration, change of direction, and speed. He has a good release at the line of scrimmage and does a good job breaking off his block into a route. Good separation quickness. He consistently beats the contact during the route to get open. Very good ball tracking and catching. Great at contested catches. Wright thrives as a blocker. He has very good blocking due to very good strength, hand placement, and hand strength. He maintains a low pad level, with good knee bend and flexibility to dominate his opponent. Excels at 1st to 2nd level blocks. He’s an exciting tight end that can do it all.
The 6’4 205 tight end has been a premier blocking presence for Ponderosa this season. The junior has 7 receptions for 102 yards and 1 touchdown, averaging about a reception per game. He has good athletic ability due to very good balance, jumping, good acceleration, speed, and change of direction. Very good blocking. Very good hand placement and hand strength. He creates lanes for his RBs consistently. Or he will run downfield to create an extra block. Good foot quickness to match defensive end. As a receiver, he uses his good possession skills to come down with the catch. He extends his arms and plucks the ball out of the air. He’ll slip through the defense and find ways to get open. Great blocker who I’d love to see get more opportunities in the receiving game.
Wright had himself a day at the combine earning CO-MVP honors. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. He has very good catching, and was consistently catching the ball due to his big radius and good wingspan. Against the LBs, he used his physicality to gain the upper hand.
