Ryan is a complete package of a defender. He can play as a deep safety in coverage and the next play, line up in the box coming off the edge. He’s physical and plays fast. He has great instincts in coverage and has the athleticism to run with receivers. Ryan does well coming down hill and getting tackles.

Ryan is a long and physical safety. He shows off his skills in run support with good open field tackling while taking good angles to the ball carrier. In zone coverage, he has good ball skills and range covering both hashes well. He also shows he can effectively come out off the nickel on delayed blitzes. Ryan has just recently received his first D1 offer from Akron. He is definitely a player to keep your eye on next season to see him continue to improve his game.
