Expert Analysis
Tyler Stevens | Prep Redzone Scout
I’ve said plenty about Geo over the years, and my opinion is still high. He’s one of the best defensive back prospects in the Midwest, and will eventually see the P4 offers roll in. He’s got the positional versatility you want in a DB, and has excellent ball skills and athleticism.

Geo is someone who caught nearly every scout’s eye in Ohio during his freshman season, and after a strong camp season, he has seemingly increased his stock further. He’s got several interception touchdowns this season and has been playing safety. He has excellent playmaking ability. He breaks to the ball so well with his closing speed. I believe he’ll play corner at the next level, but he’s versatile enough to play every secondary spot.

from Pickerington North is a ballhawk who can take it to the house after interceptions, break and jump routes. He is a very talented defensive back who will undoubtedly start garnering Power 4 attention in a big way. McKnight also has strong closing speed and a great nose for the ball against the run. He moved up from No. 11 to No. 5.

Strong cover skills as a defensive back with good timing with his hands to break up passes. Displays strong RAC after interceptions with ability to take the ball to the house. Also a good open-field tackler. Very bright future, still young and developing.

It can be hard for a freshman to earn varsity playing time in a program like Pickerington North. McKnight was able to make his way onto the field for Panthers at safety and on special teams as a gunner on the punt team and on the kickoff team.
I love Geo at the safety position as he has a great feel for playing in space and takes great angles to the ball. He can cover both in space and man v man. He has the speed to run down the ball from sideline to sideline. In the run game he’s a willing tackler who will put his shoulder down and run through the ball carrier.
