I’ve written about Chase several times, and I’m happy to see him finally be in line to start for a power school in the Columbus area. He finds himself back at Pickerington North, the same school district that he made headlines in middle school. In the few times I’ve seen him live, the ball comes out of his hand with great spin and velocity. He uses his legs as a weapon and can create explosive plays in the designed run game. He isn’t afraid to make plays while off-platform, and the ball comes out strong when doing so. Chase should be one of the more exciting additions to D1 football in Columbus.

Chase has been a quarterback with some hype for quite a while now. He was a stud in middle school, but transferred to Gahanna Lincoln last season. He has now found his way back home and will look to win the QB battle and start for the Panthers. He has great size and frame and can spin it well at live camps and events.

Chase is someone I got to see get love in Pennsylvania for our 7v7 event. McKee showcased good spin and good timing during the event. As his 2024 film, he attacks the middle of the field well and was aggressive to move the sticks. He is a great runner. He can make moves to get by defenders and can create special plays. He can throw off platform and can create passing through his legs.

Traditionally I cover the eighth grade class with 99% of my times because it’s the closest thing to “real”, high school football. However, last September I covered future Pickerington Noth quarterback

as a seventh-grader because he’s that special. Up three inches and 15 pounds from last year to 6-foot-2 and 160 pounds, I’ll be shocked if he starts his high school season (next year) without an offer. McKee is the straw that stirs the drink on one of the most dominant pre-high school teams I have ever seen. A year ago, McKee led Lake View Junior High to an undefeated, unblemished OCC Championship where they outscored their opponents 341-0 in just seven games. In limited time due to blowouts, his stats tell you everything you need to know. The talented righty finished the record-breaking season going 57-of-89 for 1,405 yards and 24 touchdowns versus just four interceptions. Unless something drastically changes, I don’t see why this would change.

out of Georgia and think he’s one of the leaders in the clubhouse in terms of ability in this class. That said, McKee is absolutely right there tied with Cypher from what I’ve seen him do on the football field this year. McKee is a 5-foot-11, 140-pound righty who will eventually end up at Pickerington North High School. He’s the catalyst for a seventh-grade team that hasn’t allowed a point through four games. In their most recent game, a 63-0 victory, McKee went 9-of-17 for 246 yards and four touchdowns in the air. The dual-threat also scored two touchdowns on two carries for 70 yards. He’s going to be very, very special.
