I’ve had a chance to see Thomas since his freshman year and each year I see him he’s gotten bigger and stronger. He has a thick build and runs with a low center of gravity. He has an explosive jump cut. In the passing game he’s a natural hands catcher. He’s definitely an FBS caliber back that I think could play at the Power 4 level.

I’ve seen Andyriq several times over the years, and my opinion of him still stands high. In a small running back class, I want to see him stand out amongst the pack. He will be the only 2027 in the currently registered group.

Andyriq was the lead running back for the Panthers this season. In his first season as the lead rusher, he eclipsed 1,000 yards. He’s an explosive runner who excels in being patient and picking his hole. He’s a shifty athlete who is very hard to tackle in open space. He’s got long-end speed and can take the ball to the house if in a drag race. Heading into the season, Andyriq was someone I thought would take off, and he has.

Andyriq will be one of several operators in the backfield. He’s a great route runner and receiver. He’s quick and twitchy as a runner. Andyriq is very explosive and is a home run hitter when on the field. I’m not sure what his carry percentage will look like for Pickerington North, but when he has the ball in his hands, watch out.

Explosive and twitched-up running back. Great route runner in one-on-ones, creates separation on his own and displays great hands. As a runner he has great burst through the hole and strong top-end juice. Has great gear change and can make defenders miss in space. Low pad level and good forward lean.

Good tailback with very good vision, burst through the hole and cutback ability. Can be gone if he finds an opening and be a home-run threat. Has proven at off-season camps that he has good hands and can be a threat in the passing game when needed. Solid change-of-direction, balance and gear change.

Andyriq played great as a Sophomore in 2024. His very good play helped the Pickerington North Panthers to an 11-win season where they averaged 32 points per game and advanced to the 4th round of the playoffs. He displays excellent vision as he quickly finds the open hole and exhibits good burst as he gets through the hole quickly. He keeps his feet moving on contact and drags LB several yards before picking up a first down. He displays very good mental toughness as he elevates his play in the redzone.

Andyriq is a running back who’d have seen varsity action at many schools in Ohio, but that’s not so with the depth of talent at the position at Pickerington North. Andyriq is an explosive running back who display great vision. He’s sudden in in the open field. He can stop and go on a dime. That explosiveness combined with his vision make him a very dificult player to get down. Defenses are forced to gang tackle a player like Thomas. He has the necessary speed to hit big plays as well. Thomas has an athletic build with the frame to continue to add good weight. The future is bright for this young running back!

Thomas is a running back I like more and more each time I see a new clip of him training or playing. He’s off to Pickerington North High School in the fall and brings a lot of two-way talent. At 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds, also claiming a 4.7 in the forty, he’s a well-built running back on offense that is equal part power and agility. Not surprising when looking at his build, he’s also an exceptional wrestler that went 27-3 on this season at the 150 pound weight class. I say that because he’s also a standout at linebacker and understands angles and brings a lot of power behind his pads.
