He’ll be playing for one of the nation’s top programs and could be one of the top linemen across Georgia if he continues to work hard over the next three years. His pure ability to make stops and big plays is one that stands out in his class in the state of Georgia. It’s going to be very interesting to see what he can do within these next few years.

I have covered Rome a couple of times and he’s impressive not only with his ability but the frame and size he brings to the field. He brings a physical presence to the field and a strong game IQ. He’s fundamentally sound yet has plenty of developing to do, which is a great sign. Samuels is the real deal and is a sure tackling monster!

Now more than ever the defensive line position has evolved to be one of the premier spots on the field and it’s required more of a leadership role than maybe it once did. Not to say it never did but it’s definitely more so now. Samuels has the leadership qualities and you love to see that from one of your best players. Standing at an impressive 6’4 255 lbs in just the 8th grade, it’s only in someone’s imagination after seeing Samuels play that he’s going to be special even more so at the next level. Samuels carries the leadership role as well as anyone and his playstyle backs it all up!

Rome is athletic at his size and uses his arm length to bully lineman around to get to the ball carrier or the QB. His ability to know where to be at the right time is an underrated asset of his that I believe will benefit him moving forward.

An enormous athlete who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 255-pounds as of August 2024. Not just a big body, he has excellent feet because of his ability on the basketball court as a big man. Listed as a Defensive Lineman as of now, but he possess the frame to become an Offensive Tackle down the line. Frankly, he’s big and athletic enough to play anywhere. Time will tell.
