Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Well-rounded skillset that is equally effective in coverage or working downhill in run support. 5’10” 190 lbs. with the ability to play any spot in the secondary with his natural instincts and anticipation in coverage. He’s a smooth athlete that is under control and flip his hips to transition out. High level recovery and closing speed. He’s a tough and physical competitor that is smart in the angles he takes to the ball carrier. Can line up a guy in open space and bring heavy contact as a form tackler. Plus ball judgement skills and timing to go up to play the ball at the high point. Was a top performer at the SoCal PRZ Showcase this offseason. Transferred to Orange Lutheran out of Santa Margarita to play out his junior year. Projects as a nickel or safety at the next level.

Reyes showed his playmaking ability and coverage skills as a nickel/SS on Sunday. He’s a savvy zone defender that can use his awareness and feel for the game to put himself in the right spots around the second and third levels. He’s a reliable tackler on film and played all over the secondary for Santa Margarita as a sophomore last season. Reyes should be a player to watch in Orange Lutheran’s secondary this season.

Reyes was a nickel corner at Santa Margarita last season and has since transferred to Orange Lutheran.
He is excellent at flying up the field to stop the run game on film. I am intrigued to see him in man pass coverage frequently on Sunday.

Reyes is a nickel corner and safety who has a versatile skillset.
He can fly up the field to stop the run and is a solid tackler. One skill that stands out on film is shedding blockers on the outside to make tackles in the run game.
Reyes is still waiting for his first offer but a good offseason will help and he will certainly see more snaps as a junior.
