Back to the trenches we go as we look at what Luca Dilev Luca Dilev 5'11" | 260 lbs | OL St. Joseph Regional | 2028 State NJ can do at center. To the naked eye, on film it looks as though Dilev has quick feet when blocking back, executing bucket steps when reaching, or blocking back on a 3-tech. When drive blocking he takes very short, choppy steps and maintains a base. Off of the line Dilev delivers a strong, sudden jolt that its the beginning of outstanding vertical movement of down linemen into the laps of linebackers – particularly on double teams. In pass protection Dilev is physical, however, he does an excellent job of refitting and working his hands. I would encourage him to continue to work on his snaps. There appeared to not be much change east/west, but Dilev’s snaps can run high at moments. If he has a shorter quarterback, this will be problematic. Dilev’s college prospects will be contingent upon exactly how much he grows.
