It goes without saying that the classes top-rated quarterback has some pretty good film. Aside from looking the part at 6’2″ 185lbs, Bryce Longo is a lefty that throws a ball with confidence and finality. His quick release minimizes the reaction time of defensive backs as he drops dimes up to 50 vertical yards downfield. Part of his confidence and finality come from his, apparent, strong understanding of his read progression. Longo might have been the beneficiary of some good quarterback training when he was young, as we can see his weight transfer and his firm base when he throws the ball. Additionally, he puts touch on the ball. Once he claims a varsity job we will have a better understanding as to just exactly his upside, but it looks like it is high. Once area I wish he showed on film was his ability to move around in the pocket when under pressure.

. A tall freshman with an athletic build, Bryce is on his way to getting noticed within the state. Bryce has all of the characteristics and skills necessary to develop into one of the top QBs in the 2028 class. He is a player that has been putting in a tremendous amount of work in the offseason through his camp exposure and offseason training. Bryce has elite arm talent and can really throw the ball with zip behind it. The ball comes out of his hands in a tight spiral and he’s able to deliver the ball right where it needs to go. On top of the arm strength, Bryce has fast feet in the pocket and can pivot quickly to get his shoulders in line with the receiver. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Bryce ended up getting snagged by one of the top private schools in the state by the end of the year.

to get a leader at the Quarterback position. The 6’1 lefty with a 3.8 GPA from North Haledon, New Jersey is as professional as they come for an 8th grader. He has the speed, strength, and arm you need as a Quarterback but the leadership and playmaking ability he has is elite. He’ll do whatever it takes for his team to win, and he shows it in every clip I’ve watched of him. His Silk City film from this past season shows that Longo can sling it and can make every throw with ease as well as make it happen with his legs. I can tell from watching his high school recruiting video from a year ago that it’s clear Longo wants to play big time high school football in New Jersey. Longo is a winner, and a leader. Whichever high school gets him next year has a bright future ahead of them.
