is quickly becoming one of the hottest names in New Jersey’s 2026 class. The St. Joe’s Regional edge rusher has already racked up five offers in 2025 from Washington, North Carolina, Boston College, UMass, and Duke, with more likely on the way. At 6’2”, 210-215 pounds, he brings an explosive first step and natural athleticism, making him a problem off the edge. His motor stands out, especially when chasing plays down from the backside. He also shows solid change of direction and does a great job executing twists and stunts, which have led to key sacks on film.
However, what makes him intriguing is also what puts him under the microscope. He has outstanding arm length but hasn’t fully learned how to maximize it. His pass-rush plan and hand usage need serious refinement, especially against higher-level competition. Too often, he relies on pure athleticism rather than technique. As he continues to develop and add strength, honing his ability to attack offensive linemen’s leverage will be key.
Still, it’s clear why college programs are willing to bet on him. Gray has all the raw tools to be unique, and as he polishes his game, his recruitment will only heat up. Expect him to be a focal point in the 2025-26 season as coaches and scouts closely monitor his progress.
