went down against Pope John, showing flashes of his potential.
One of Mason’s standout strengths is his ability to play on time and in rhythm. When executing plays as designed, he delivers the ball accurately, whether to targets over the middle or outside the numbers. He thrives in RPO concepts, excelling with quick, timing-based throws such as six-yard comebacks and slot slants. His ball placement is consistent and precise when Mason is squared up and has a clean platform. However, while he is generally accurate, there is room for improvement in consistently hitting open targets, particularly under duress.
A key area for Mason’s development is his ability to create and play out of structure. Modern football demands quarterbacks who can extend plays when things break down, and Mason showed inconsistency in this regard against top competition. His pocket awareness needs improvement, especially in navigating pressure and avoiding sacks. Too often, Mason appears indecisive when his first and second reads are taken away, holding onto the ball for too long. Developing a quicker internal clock and decisiveness to either take off or get rid of the ball will be crucial for his growth.
If Mason wants to become a complete quarterback, he needs to focus on enhancing his pre-snap reads and his ability to adjust to the pressure. He can mitigate some of his current game’s limitations by becoming more lethal pre-snap, identifying blitzes, and making quicker decisions. While mobility may not be a defining trait, improved awareness and decision-making will allow him to operate effectively in a clean or chaotic pocket.
Physically, Mason has the tools to succeed. He can make all the necessary throws and deliver the ball where it needs to be. With an entire offseason to build on his experience, particularly in developing his pocket presence and pre-snap abilities, Mason has the potential to take his game to the next level in 2025.

is one of the true gunslingers in the state. Tossing 15 touchdown passes and over 1000 yards in 2023, Mason displayed flawless technique this fall. With excellent size for a sophomore QB, Mason stands confident in the pocket as he lets the play develop. Being shifty enough to evade the rush while keeping his eyes downfield, Mason is another one of those QBs that makes throwing on the run look easy. And with 5 rushing touchdowns on the year, be weary if he gets into open field.

of Immaculata. After throwing for 13 touchdowns and 1133 passing yards, Mason started to make his presence known. He is a big sized gunslinger that led Immaculata to 3-0 record within the division.
Mason has all of the qualities you’d hope for in a young QB. A really strong arm for his age, Mason launched the ball downfield and led his receivers perfectly in stride. He’s a patient passer, letting the play develop and trusting his receivers when he delivers the 50/50 ball. Mason is mobile enough to avoid the sack, and is even able to make some Patrick Mahomes like throws when he is on the run. A rare talent, Mason has three years to look forward to to perfect his craft.
