Smith has been the leading receiver for Long Beach Poly the past two seasons.

He had 9 other offers including Washington, Washington State and Nebraska among others. Sacramento State offered Smith last Saturday and he committed a few days later.

Smith caught 50 passes for 832 yards with 11 touchdowns for Long Beach Poly last season.

He is a speedy guy who can return kicks and is scary with the ball in his hands. Smith likely projects as a slot receiver at the college level but Poly moves him around to create mismatches. He had a career-game against Mission Viejo last season who had a secondary loaded with Division 1 talent.

Smith has offers from Arizona, Oregon and Utah among others.
