out of Long Beach Poly, a 5’11, 175-pound dynamo! This kid is one of the most dynamic wideouts in California, with route-running that’s seamless and separation skills that leave defenders behind. He doesn’t drop the ball– he’s got soft hands and attacks the ball at its highest point. Coley’s quickness off the line and ability to get in and out of breaks make him a nightmare in the slot. Projects as a high-major slot receiver with the potential to stretch the field vertically. If he keeps developing that frame, watch out!
Coley is a high ceiling prospect and impressive receiver for a freshman. Possesses a strong 6’0” 175 lb. frame with good growth potential as he develops. He’s a natural receiver with plus body control and ball skills to make tough contested receptions in traffic. He attacks the ball in the air and finds a way to quickly adjust to balls outside his framework. Does a good job using his body to shield defenders and create a throwing lane. Flashes good initial quickness out of his stance to eat up the DB’s cushion and can use his speed to run by coverage at the third level. He’s a physical receiver that can go across the middle and hold onto the catch while absorbing contact. He’s performed well in the 7on7 circuit and will see more in game opportunities going into his sophomore year. Holds offer from Louisville and UNLV thus far with many more on the way.
