is a high-level athletic edge defender whose versatility showed up all season for DeMatha. Booze aligned across the defensive front and even kicked out to outside linebacker, flashing the ability to play in space and impact the game from multiple looks. His lateral quickness and closing speed allow him to stress offensive tackles while also holding up on the perimeter. Booze’s production and positional flexibility were factors in DeMatha’s run to a WCAC Championship, earning him WCAC All-Conference honorable mention honors. He currently holds offers from Rhode Island, Sacred Heart, Howard, and Albany, and his athletic upside makes him an intriguing edge prospect at the next level.

is a versatile defender who plays middle linebacker, edge rusher, and defensive tackle. His film shows strong pass-rushing ability, with multiple sacks coming off the edge, through stunts, and even from the interior using bull rushes and quickness. Booze plays with a high motor, consistently chasing plays down and finishing, even when initially blocked. He also flashes ability in zone coverage, making a clean stop on a short pass from a linebacker alignment. Though a bit undersized for full-time defensive line play, he makes up for it with effort, quickness, and power.

brings a rare blend of strength, explosiveness, and versatility to the defensive front. At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, he has the frame and athleticism to project as a next-level linebacker, but he’s currently making his mark in the trenches as a disruptive defensive end for powerhouse DeMatha Catholic (MD).
Booze plays with a relentless motor and impressive functional strength, routinely splitting double teams and slipping through tight spaces to get to the ball carrier. His ability to get skinny through gaps, and finish plays around the line of scrimmage sets him apart. Whether crashing the edge or defending the interior run, Booze brings a physical, no-nonsense style that wears down offensive lines.
He currently holds four Division I offers, including Rhode Island and Sacred Heart, with more likely to follow as his senior season unfolds. Booze’s combination of toughness, scheme versatility, and motor make him a prospect with serious upside at multiple positions on the defensive side of the ball.

The month of May saw Booze pick up multiple offers. Rhode Island (May 20th), Sacred Heart (May 15th), and Albany (May 13th) all gave him offers. He recently participated in Maryland’s Big Man camp back on June 6th. I think if he had more film of him playing on the edge during his junior-year season, his recruiting might have had a different look to it. Most of his highlights show him playing inside on the defensive line. Nonetheless, he’s a talented defensive player, and he’ll end up at a program that’ll determine how he best fits into its defensive scheme.
