Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Brown has racked up 14 total tackles (three tackles for a loss), broken up nine passes, and intercepted four passes in three games. I saw him a couple of weeks ago against Imhotep Charter in Philly, and he intercepted two passes. The first one stopped an Imhotep deep drive, and the other one sealed the game. Brown is currently committed to Furman, but at this rate, I have to believe some FBS schools will take an even closer look in the next few weeks. Brown has shown himself to be physical at the line of scrimmage in press coverage, technically sound in zone coverage, and highly competitive when the football is in the air.

Brown starts in a highly talented defensive backfield at DeMatha. Against Imhotep, his star shined the brightest as he came up with pass breakups, good coverage, and two drive-killing interceptions. The first came when he made a diving catch for an interception resulting from a miscommunication between the quarterback and wide receiver. That was huge because Imhotep was deep in DeMatha’s territory and threatening to take a double-lead into halftime. The second interception sealed the game on the last play, allowing DeMatha to escape with a big one-point victory on the road. He and his secondary teammates made it hard for Imhotep to make plays downfield in the passing game.
