Although not the result he would have wanted, Burnam showed great resiliency and showcased his dual-threat game Thursday night. His processing was great and several times throughout the game, it was Burnam who would have to roll out of a collapsing pocket to find a man down the field. He was utilized well in the designated quarterback run game, accumulating 148 yards and a touchdown.

Burnam has had a great playoff run so far, and his processing has a ton to do with Anderson’s offensive success. He does well surveying the field and looking for options to get the ball to. His release has a good arc, and his arm can stretch a defense vertically. He is a clutch player and can lead his team to victory, just as last week when he led Anderson down the field to score with under a minute left, leading to their eventual victory.

Burnam’s total yardage numbers slipped a little since last season – he threw for 4,186 yards last year – but he still put together a strong senior campaign with 3,404 yards passing and over 500 rushing yards to lead the high-scoring Raptors into a deep postseason run. Burnam is a great dual-threat quarterback. Moreover, he has a very high completion percentage (75 percent). The Raptors face Mount Healthy on Friday.
