Weaver showed some of the explosive traits that show up all over his film. He has quick cut mobility getting in and out of his brakes. Once he creates a little separation, he has the explosive speed to get deep. His ball skills are top end. He has the size and strength to play through physicality. With some strong post season and film I think he could start to get some D1 interest.

To wrap up our top five wide receivers in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have Tysin Weaver Tysin Weaver 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Anderson | 2027 State OH . Weaver had a very productive sophomore season, catching 79 passes for 1,014 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games. Tysin is very impressive in the open field after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes/screens into big plays at any given moment. Weaver is also a reliable deep threat, using his speed to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He also scored two rushing touchdowns as a sophomore and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with a team-high two interceptions. Tysin doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and I expect him to be a player to continue to watch closely over the next couple seasons.

He finished the year with 79 receptions for 1,014 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games. Weaver is an impressive route runner out of the slot, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He is also very dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains. Tysin also scored two rushing touchdowns as a sophomore and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 11 tackles and two interceptions. Weaver doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should keep an eye on heading into his junior year.

Despite Simon Kenton’s loss to Great Crossing this past Friday, wide receiver Tysin Weaver Tysin Weaver 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Anderson | 2027 State OH continued to stand out. Weaver finished the game with 10 receptions for 224 yards and two touchdowns. Tysin lines up in the slot where he is able to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Weaver doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Tysin Weaver Tysin Weaver 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Anderson | 2027 State OH , a wide receiver at Simon Kenton High School. What makes Weaver so impactful is his breakaway speed, his ability to slip past the defense and his ability to blast into the endzone. I also like how Weaver can get open for the long pass and push off the defense in coverage. Weaver also showcased his ability to dive for the touchdown pass.

He finished this past season with 27 receptions for 603 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. Weaver lines up mainly in the slot where he uses his quick release to create separation from opposing defensive backs. After the catch, he has shown the speed to run away from the defense on his way to the end zone. Weaver also finished this past season with two rushing touchdowns. Tysin doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player to keep an eye on over the next three seasons.
