, more of a linear route runner, but has good burst off the LOS and is a legitimate deep-play threat. Has played both inside and outside receiver spots. Good hands, wins contested catches, and snatches the ball out of the air; not a body catcher. Made a couple of one-handed grabs look easy. Flashed being a tough and physical blocker. Cooper made several plays to try to get the Raptors firing. He’s good at every aspect of being a receiver. Good hands, gets open at a solid clip, and is good with the ball after the catch. He finished the game with 114 yards.

Kathman was catching balls all night long as he led the Raptors in receptions with 10 for 93 yards. Cooper is a long and shifty receiver who gets strong releases and does a great job of getting in and out of his breaks and creating separation. He’s a natural hands catcher who can catch the ball in stride and be ready to make a move. I like him as a Z at the next level who’s a versatile guy with an extensive route tree who can be moved around the formation.

Kathman can get open from any receiver spot and make plays. He is elusive and shifty after the catch but smart enough to take the easy space in zone coverage. He has an expansive route tree and showcased the ability to create space in the short and intermediate game well. I think Kathman will have an exciting season in 2025 and start picking up some D1 offers.

Cooper played great as a Freshman in 2023. He caught 74 passes for 1861 yds (25.1 ypc) and scored 19 TD. He shows great versatility as he lines up at both outside WR positions as well as in the slot. He is quick off the LOS and does a great job of reading the coverage. He then uses his very good play speed to get behind CB on vertical routes. He tracks the ball well in the air before using his very good hands to make the catch. After the catch is made, he uses his excellent athleticism to outrun all defenders and score on a long touchdown reception.
