With the ball in the air, he can effectively win one-on-one battles and consistently fights for the ball. Has great leaping ability and is very disruptive. Good closing speed when he gets downhill as a safety, flashes being a good open-field tackler. Class of 2028 DB who earned offers from Miami-Ohio and Eastern Michigan in June.

I’m very impressed with Anderson High School safety Brandon Bolender Brandon Bolender 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Anderson | 2027 OH ‘s ability to get downhill, deliver big hits, flow to the ball and make open-field tackles. Bolender has very good downhill closing speed, reads and reacts well to the ball, and takes great pursuit angles to close on ballcarriers. Tough and rangy, he is also a great cover guy on kickoffs, where he could contribute to a college team early. Picked up his first offer from Kent State.
