Piening is an absolute weapon on the football field. He is athletic enough to line up out wide in 4 and 5 wide receiver sets and strong enough to line up as a wing tight end and block downhill. I love his ability to get physical and put people on their backs. Anderson’s running game runs a lot through Piening lead blocking and they have been successful all season. As a wideout, he is best in the vertical game. Asking for defenders to match up with him downfield is almost impossible with his frame and physicality. The former UCF commit will have interest in his recruiting cycle this offseason.

In 2022, Caden played a big role in the 8-win season of the Anderson Raptors where they averaged 42.2 points per game and advanced to the 4th round of the playoffs. He lines up inline as a Y and occasionally as an H-Back. He is an outstanding run blocker who generates good movement at the point of attack against OLB with his quality play strength, use of hands and physical toughness. He is a reliable receiver in the passing game as well as he shows good hands with solid athleticism as he picks up a first down or scores a TD while in the redzone.

In 2022, Caden helped the Anderson Raptors to an 8-win season, advance to the 4th round of the playoffs and average 42.2 points per game. He lines up inline as well as an H-Back. He quickly crosses the formation and delivers a very powerful punch to the frame of the EDGE knocking him back as he creates a lane for the RB. He is a great receiver as well as he uses his good athleticism to quickly get open and displays good hands as he catches the ball with his hands away from his body before easily scoring a TD.

Caden is the #1 ranked TE in the class of 2025. He lines up inline as a “Y” or as an H-Back. He is an outstanding blocker who uses his very good play strength, physical toughness and hand use to overpower DE with ease. He is a reliable receiver who runs good routes and shows good hands as he makes the catch with his hands easily. He shows very good mental toughness as he elevates his game near the goal line both as a blocker and receiver.
