Haney impressed me at the All-22 camp and the Under Armour Next camp against really good competition.
He does a good job getting his hands on people and recovers well if he gets beaten initially off the line. Haney is better at defending against power rushers but has the athleticism to keep up with the speed rushers. He is committed to Fresno State.

Haney won a lot of reps I saw him take at right tackle on Sunday against speed and power rushers. He does a good job getting his hands on people and controlling them with his arms. When speed rushers tried beating him on the edge, he used the outside arm to drive them more outside and against power rushers he held his ground.

Haney fared pretty well during the 1-on-1 period even though he didn’t win all of his reps. He has a good first step and recovers well when he does get beat initially. Haney has a good anchor when defending power rushers. He was offered by Air Force the day after the event.

Big frame with length at 6’4” 275 lbs. with an 80 inch wingspan. Flashes good ability to execute different blocks and schemes. Does a good job seeing the front and adjusting based on movement and stunts. Active hands and uses them well to latch on and control defenders to sustain throughout the play. Flashes functional mobility and feet to block in space. He’s smart with his attack angles and does a good job lining up a guy to create positional leverage. Plays with a wide base and possesses good natural strength to bring heavy contact or anchor down at the POA. Operates mainly as a guard for Jserra but has the positional flexibility and size to play multiple spots depending on development.

Haney needs to add some strength and size before becoming a national recruit, but he is advanced on film for a sophomore.
He’s great at driving his feet through contact and I assume he puts in a ton of work on the sled. Haney shows athleticism as a puller and has a nice, wide base in pass protection.
He is putting in the work with the right people this offseason and I expect him to keep climbing up this list.
