One of the more underrated newcomers to South Charleston’s roster is 2028 WR/DB James Lowe from St. Albans. Lowe enters the season as one of the top receivers in the 2028 class and brings explosive playmaking ability to an already talented offense. With so many weapons around him, touches will have to be earned, but Lowe’s speed, versatility, and ability to make plays in space should make him difficult to keep off the field. He also has the talent to compete for a starting role in the secondary, giving the Black Eagles another impact player capable of contributing on both sides of the football.

South Charleston continues to stockpile talent with the addition of 2028 WR/DB James Lowe James Lowe 5'9" | 175 lbs | WR South Charleston | 2028 State WV from St. Albans. A Top 10 receiver in the class, Lowe brings another explosive option to an offense that already features plenty of playmakers. He’ll compete for touches in a crowded receiver room, but his dynamic skill set makes him a player the Black Eagles will want to get involved. Lowe has flashed big-play ability throughout his first two seasons and has the versatility to earn a starting role in the secondary as well. He’s another significant addition who raises the overall talent level of an already impressive roster.

No game film to evaluate from 2028 St. Abans WR James Lowe James Lowe 5'9" | 175 lbs | WR South Charleston | 2028 State WV , but he impressed us in person earlier this summer at camp. That performance warranted a Top 10 WR ranking at this point in his young career, but future game film will determine which direction he moves in the rankings. Lowe flashed playmaking ability as a slot receiver at said camp and performed well during 1-on-1s among a talented skill group in attendance. He’s a name to tuck away for later once he produces film, but he’s sure to develop into a standout player on Friday nights for the Red Dragons.

A young 2028 prospect that I wasn’t aware of before the GC Exposure camp, but was impressed by, was St. Albans WR/DB James Lowe James Lowe 5'9" | 175 lbs | WR South Charleston | 2028 State WV . He’s a very athletic slot receiver with very good early speed and quickness that made him a difficult cover in 1-on-1s. Lowe was among the fastest players at the camp, proving so during the 40-yard dash segment. He ran step for step with the fastest receivers during 1-on-1s as a defensive back and has a ton of upside athletically that can be developed into a future star receiver for the Red Dragons.
