Not every important addition grabs headlines, and 2028 OL/DL Devon Green Devon Green 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL South Charleston | 2028 WV could prove to be one of South Charleston’s most valuable pickups. After transferring from St. Albans, Green steps into an offensive line that already features two D1 prospects, giving the Black Eagles another talented piece in the trenches. I had the chance to see him at a past camp and came away impressed with his size, strength, and physical upside. While there’s no film to evaluate yet, the tools are clearly there for Green to develop into a standout lineman for South Charleston over the next two seasons. Playing alongside an experienced group should only accelerate his growth, making him an underrated addition who could quietly become a key contributor for a rebuilding program.

Another 2028 big man prospect who wasn’t on our radar before seeing him in person at a camp this summer was St. Albans OL/DL Devon Green Devon Green 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL South Charleston | 2028 WV . He was a freshman starter for the Red Dragons in 2024, and after seeing him live, you could easily see why his coaches are so high on him. Green is a physically imposing young lineman who has impressive physical strength and power for his age. He may be one of, if not the strongest, athletes in the 2028 class at this stage, and it shows in his play on the field. Once he produces game film, expect Green to begin to garner college attention.

A 2028 lineman prospect who certainly didn’t look like a rising sophomore in high school to know is St. Albans OL/DL Devon Green Devon Green 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL South Charleston | 2028 WV . This young man is a very strong, powerful athlete for his age with great size for a 2028 prospect who started for the Red Dragons as a freshman last season. Green’s best side of the line has yet to be determined, but he can be dominant on both interiors with some improvement athletically. As a bull rusher at Saturday’s showcase, Green was simply too strong for the opposing centers and guards. He could gain ground on his man every time I saw him take a rep, and I look forward to getting some game film of him in the future.
