plays with has made him one of the more interesting senior offensive linemen to watch this season. Slack has the quickness and agility to pull effectively and find blocks in space as a quality athlete at the position. He plays with a nasty edge and doesn’t shy away from contact, consistently looking to move defenders and create lanes within South Charleston’s run game. That combination of athleticism and physicality has Slack continuing to move up the 2027 OL board and deserves college looks.

Jackson Slack has been an underrated part of South Charleston’s dominant start up front, helping the Black Eagles establish themselves as one of the more physical teams in the state. The 2027 OL has been excellent in the ground game as a pulling guard, where his quickness and agility allow him to get into space and finish blocks. Slack’s nasty edge and physicality allow him to move defenders at the point of attack and get good displacement. He’s consistently doing his job within the scheme and has helped create the running lanes behind a South Charleston rushing attack that has been explosive through the first three weeks.

South Charleston has been dominant up front on both sides of the ball through the first two weeks, and that continued in the Black Eagles’ statement win over Chapmanville. The entire offensive line played well, but 2027 OL Jackson Slack deserves recognition for the work he’s doing up front and the role he’s played in the team’s success running the ball. South Charleston has had a ton of success on the ground this year, and Slack has been excellent at creating lanes for the backs, especially when he’s asked to pull. He has the quickness and agility to execute those blocks at a high level while also bringing the nastiness and physicality needed to move defenders at the point of attack. It was another great performance from Slack and the rest of the Black Eagles’ offensive line, which continues to set the tone for one of the state’s most physical teams.

RETURNING STANDOUT
The depth of South Charleston’s offensive line doesn’t stop with its headline names, as 2027 OL Jackson Slack has developed into another valuable piece up front. Slack earned his way into the state rankings by consistently putting quality film together while being a multi-year starter for the Black Eagles. He plays with a physical edge, finishes blocks, and brings a relentless motor from snap to whistle. While his size may limit some opportunities at the next level, his toughness and style of play make him an important contributor for the Black Eagles.

2027 South Charleston OL Jackson Slack earns a place in the rankings after putting together quality film as part of a loaded Black Eagles offensive line. Size will be the first thing colleges point to, but turn on his tape, and it’s easy to see why he belongs on the board. Slack plays with a physical edge, finishes blocks, and consistently brings energy from snap to whistle. He may not receive the same attention as some of the bigger names around him, but he is an important piece of one of the state’s most talented fronts. His toughness, strength, and play style project well to the small college level, where he has the potential to become a very good D3 player.

. He did some good things as a sophomore on defense and appears to be starting long the offensive line as well this year. We like Slack as an EDGE prospect for now, given his size, but he could make strides physically and be a full-time hand in the turf player in the future. Slack plays with high effort and physicality, with quality athleticism that will allow him to continue developing into a college prospect.
