Ruiz is coming off a stellar season for Servite in his junior year last Fall, but has since transferred to Mission Viejo where he will play out his final prep season for one of the best teams in the country. The second team All-Trinity League selection as a Junior is one of the best defensive backs in Orange County, and should find a home late at the next level as we approach national signing day after the season. He is a big time playmaker on the back end with closing speed, recovery length and ball skills while always looking to force turnovers and come up in run support.
