Set to be one of the keys to success for the Little Hawks on both sides of the ball this season, Harris showed playmaking abilities on offense and defense last Thursday. At wide receiver, Harris caught a bomb for 30+ yards, beating the opposing DB off the line with his agility and getting separation on the route thanks to his top end speed. With just eight receptions for 189 yards and three scores on offense last season, Harris has a shot to breakout in his senior campaign.
He’ll play slot corner and nickel for City High in the fall as well, where his lateral speed and athleticism will allow him to make plays on the back end of the defense. Harris is also a name to watch on special teams as a return man.
Harris is an intriguing prospect with plenty of room to grow physically and as a player before hitting his ceiling. As we see when watching his junior highlight video, he’s a big play waiting to happen whether lining up at receiver or cornerback. Harris is a weapon on special teams, too. He caught eight passes for 189 yards (23.6 YPR) and three touchdowns. He collected 19 tackles (12 solo) and an interception on defense. He succeeds with the help of speed and athleticism. On offense, he complements those traits with making tough receptions and adjusting to the balls while they’re in the air. Harris can lock up in coverage and step up against the run.
