Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Heick is a productive prep senior that’s far from a finished product. When scouting him during Week 5 of the 2025 season against Norwalk, plenty of projection remained for a prospect with position flexibility. Heick led the Little Hawks with 8.5 tackles (5 solo, 1.0 TFL) in this game. He’s a rangy linebacker able to get downhill quickly and cover sideline to sideline. Heick plays fast and welcomes contact. He displayed that on defense and also in blocking as a tight end. Heick’s frame is such that it can add plenty of good weight without him forfeiting any of the athleticism that makes him effective. It could take a year or two at the next level to hit his stride, but he’s a guy worthy of a closer look from colleges.

Heick produced on a high level for one of the state’s better defenses in 2024. He piled up 64.0 tackles, the second most among Little Hawks. Forty eight of the stops were of the solo variety. Heick had 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Athleticism stands out when watching his junior highlight video. Heick flies to the football and arrives quickly. He diagnoses plays, helping shift teammates pre-snap. Heick is capable of running with receivers and tight ends. He can chase down quarterbacks. With the frame capable of adding size and strength without losing the present assets, Heick has plenty of room to go before reaching his ceiling.
