One of the more undervalued defensive back prospects in the 2026 class has been Spring Mills DB Hope Bokwe Hope Bokwe 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Spring Mills | 2026 State WV . He quietly had a strong senior season for the Cardinals and had one of the better individual seasons at defensive back in this class in our eyes. Bokwe has the frame and mindset to be a high-value D2 prospect with potential to earn FCS opportunities if they get eyes on his film.

2026 Spring Mills DB Hope Bokwe Hope Bokwe 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Spring Mills | 2026 State WV is playing on the back end of the Cardinals’ defense this season as a long and athletic safety. He’s doing a nice job in that role, but could also grow into his 6’3 frame more at the next level and play more in the box. Proving he has the athleticism to play single high safety should open colleges’ eyes. Bokwe has good closing speed and is physical when attacking the ball in the air and when coming downhill in the run game or short passes. He’s a definite D2-level prospect in our eyes and should receive attention from those programs this season.

Another Spring Mills athlete who we saw at a camp this summer and impressed us was 2026 WR/DB Hope Bokwe Hope Bokwe 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Spring Mills | 2026 State WV . He has a high ceiling as a safety prospect and did a great job in coverage at the camp. Bokwe is poised for a breakout year and should have heavy D2 interest this fall.
Here’s what we recently said about Bokwe in our 2026 Rankings Stock Risers article:
“Getting to see 2026 Spring Mills DB Hope Boke in person earlier this year at camp was eye-opening for us. Previously ranked as a WR, touches were limited in the Cardinals’ explosive receiver room last season, which didn’t tell the full story of Boke’s ability. His potential as a safety at the next level is very high based on watching him compete in 1-on-1s and shutting down his man on seemingly every rep that we caught. Bokwe is a large athlete with the frame to add further significant size once he’s in a college program and can take his game to new heights.”

2026 Spring Mills WR/DB Hope Bokwe Hope Bokwe 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB/WR Spring Mills | 2026 State WV made a great impression at the GC Exposure Camp last Saturday. Currently ranked as the 17th best WR in his class, Bokwe opened eyes as a defensive back during 1-on-1s and had the best day among that group in my eyes. He’ll be flipping to DB in our next rankings update later this summer, where he’ll place highly and has a high ceiling for the position. Bokwe is a big, physical athlete who didn’t lose many reps that we were able to see against some very talented receivers in attendance. His length made it difficult for quarterbacks and receivers to get the ball past him, and Bokwe showed good closing speed and willingness to attack the ball fearlessly.
