Senior Douglas “DJ” Mayer was a player who really showed out on both sides of the ball, making highlight catches on offense and locking things down on defense. DJ possesses good size and length for the DB position at 6’1″ and 180 pounds. He moves very well with smooth footwork and loose hips. Mayer’s strength also allows him to effectively press receivers at the line of scrimmage. At receiver, I was impressed with DJ’s route-running ability as he showed he can run a full route tree and create separation from DBs. Get after this guy asap!
