2026 Spring Mills DL Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV has been a steady force for the Cardinals throughout his career and was deserving of a rankings boost. He’s seen significant college interest in his senior year and will make his future program happy to have him. Meza is a competitior and battles well in the trenches on both sides of the line, that’s allowed him to be one of the top DL prospects in his class.

2026 Spring Mills DL Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV has been a consistent player for the Cardinals since he was an underclassman and has continued that into the first four weeks of his senior year. He’s still underrated as a prospect and is deserving of more attention from the next level, but if Meza keeps producing each each, the future offers will come. He has D2 potential in our eyes, with tape that backs that claim up. Meza is an explosive interior defensive lineman who can split blocks and get into the backfield consistently.

One of the biggest unsung heroes and underrated players in the Spring Mills program over the past few years has been 2026 Dl Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV . He’ll be a good two-way player for the Cardinals again this season and projects well as an interior defensive line prospect. We got to see him in person multiple times this summer, and Meza is worthy of D2 looks this fall.

2026 Spring Mills DL Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV flashed some good things at the Fairmont State Elite Camp during 1-on-1s. I think he offers a lot of value in his current ranking and should open the door to D2 opportunities this fall. I was impressed with his quickness off the line and out of his stance for an interior DL prospect. Meza stays low, firing out of his stance, and does a nice job of out-leveraging his man.

2026 Spring Mills defensive lineman Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV uses leverage well to make stops for the 2024 state runner-up Cardinals. He’s an underrated prospect in this class and has been a steady player since his sophomore season. Meza is a two-way player for Spring Mills but projects as an interior defensive lineman at the next level. He’s low in his stance and fires off the line with ferocity and is strong at the point of attack. At 6’1, Meza can maintain that low leverage coming out of his stance and get under opposing offensive linemen to control and shed them. He’s also a quality athlete for his size and should develop nicely in college once he adds further size.

Another 2026 DL to know this season has been Spring Mills’ Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV who was a fellow Week 2 Big Man of the Week. His move inside to nose guard this season has proven to be very beneficial for him and the Cardinals and has shown to be a wrecking ball in the middle of the line.
Here’s what we recently said about Meza in our Week 2 Big Men of the Week article:
“2026 Spring Mills DL Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV is our Class AAAA Big Man of the Week after a shortened but strong performance against Wheeling Park that was called early due to inclement weather. Abelardo Meza Abelardo Meza 6'1" | 250 lbs | DL Spring Mills | 2026 State WV was a sophomore two-way starting lineman on a Class AAA Spring Mills playoff quarterfinals team and now ranks as a Top 75 player and #7 DL in the 2026 class. Meza could be ranked as an OL or DL but with his current size of 6’1 240 he projects better as a defensive lineman. However, I thought his play at offensive tackle was really good for a sophomore playing a tough schedule. Meza showed quick feet on offense with apparent athleticism that many young linemen don’t have. His kick steps at tackle looked smooth and quick which also translates to the defensive line. Meza can play zero through three-tech along the interior and has room to add size to his frame to play there in college. He can take on double teams on the DL with the physicality and strength to hold his ground when he’s doubled. Meza also has the quickness and speed to run down ball carriers when the play is away from him. I think he can move up in the rankings in the next two years if he continues on his current trajectory.
