A lot of the top talent at the QB position here in WI have announced their commitments. However, one of the best at the position is still on the market. Gabe is firmly in the chase for QB1, and his senior film has only tightened the race. Gabe checks off so many boxes that the next level looks for. He has a great frame for the position, and offers a dual threat that has become a key part of the position. Gabe has the speed to pick up huge chunks when he breaks the pocket. He also is a physical runner. The arm talent is what puts him up at the top of the position, though. Passini has a naturally strong arm. It jumps out of his hand, and he can push it 40+ yards downfield with little air under the ball. Gabe’s quick feet allow him to move in the pocket, and quickly set his feet to get rid of the ball. Most importantly, Passini has excellent ball placement and accuracy. He is able to hit every level of the field right where he wants to so his man can catch the ball in stride and gain yards after the catch. Lastly, Gabe is a poised passer who doesn’t panic when pressured, and will stand tall in the face of pressure. This is one of the top prospects available in the state. Check out the film. He is a need to know athlete.

. The 6’4″ 190 lbs QB has the prototypical size, and as a major bonus, it comes with exceptional athleticism to break a defense’s back when he decides to tuck it and run. As a passer, Gabe puts himself firmly in the race for QB1. He has the arm strength to be able to attack every level of the field, and the accuracy to attack tight windows. The senior is a poised passer who will stand in the pocket and face pressure to deliver the ball. Until recently it seemed like Gabe was one of the best kept secrets in WI, but the FCS offers have started coming in. There are high expectations for Passini and the Middleton team overall.

A kid who has been pushing to move up the rankings here in WI, and will do so during our next update, is the Middleton passer. Gabe put together an eye catching day. His 6’4″ 191 lbs frame looks the part of a next level QB, and his athleticism makes him even more intriguing. Gabe had a blazing 4.65 40 yard dash, 9’4″ broad jump, 34.7″ vertical jump, and a 4.36 pro agility time. Gabe is a true dual threat for defenses. It was great to see him throw the ball in person too. He has a prototypical throwing motion, and his lower body mechanics from his feet to his hips work together well to generate the power to push the ball to the second and third level. I also was further impressed with his ball placement throughout the evening. We should see his recruitment pick up steam as the summer goes on.

Gabe has come a long ways since I first watched him as a sophomore. He looks the part of a college signal caller at 6’4″ 190 lbs, and he offers the rushing threat that has become more and more coveted by the next level. As a passer, Passini plays with clean footwork that does a good job of staying connected to his eyes. He has the arm strength to be able to deliver the ball to every level of the field and he can push the ball downfield while off his back foot. The experienced passer isn’t afraid to stand tall in the pocket and stare down the barrel of blitzing LBs. The most important part of his game is his accuracy. Gabe is able to control where he puts the ball, even when he really lets it rip to beat closing windows. The ’24 also does a great job of protecting the ball, finishing with only 2 INTs in 2022.

Gabe is another prospect on this list that we could see make a big jump over this year. He has grown to 6’5″ 190 lbs, and the arm talent appears to be forming into next level quality. The ball jumps out of his hand with zip, and it carries that velocity to the catch. Because of it, Gabe is able to hit windows to the short, intermediate, and deep levels of the field. Gabe is also a good decision maker. He put up 1,200+ yards, and 18 TDs with only 2 INTs on the year. A great bonus is that Passini is also a dual threat athlete who can hurt defense that give him room or play with their backs to him. Look for a break out summer and fall for Gabe.
