This group has a dominant signal caller, high ceiling OL, mismatch WR, lock down CB, an under the radar two way athlete who could be an impact at TE or DE, and a stout LB who stands out on the edge. These athletes have the traits and tools to be difference makers at the next level. Make sure to check out the attached film, coaches! Let’s dive in!
A lot of the top talent at the QB position here in WI have announced their commitments. However, one of the best at the position is still on the market. Gabe is firmly in the chase for QB1, and his senior film has only tightened the race. Gabe checks off so many boxes that the next level looks for. He has a great frame for the position, and offers a dual threat that has become a key part of the position. Gabe has the speed to pick up huge chunks when he breaks the pocket. He also is a physical runner. The arm talent is what puts him up at the top of the position, though. Passini has a naturally strong arm. It jumps out of his hand, and he can push it 40+ yards downfield with little air under the ball. Gabe’s quick feet allow him to move in the pocket, and quickly set his feet to get rid of the ball. Most importantly, Passini has excellent ball placement and accuracy. He is able to hit every level of the field right where he wants to so his man can catch the ball in stride and gain yards after the catch. Lastly, Gabe is a poised passer who doesn’t panic when pressured, and will stand tall in the face of pressure. This is one of the top prospects available in the state. Check out the film. He is a need to know athlete.

One of my favorite prospects in the state that I have followed for years is Sun Prairie East’s Logan Gross Logan Gross 6’3″ | 270 lbs | OL Sun Prairie | 2024 State WI . Logan is a prospect I am very confident will find a way to make an impact at the next level because I have seen the hard work and dedication he is willing to put into getting better at his craft. Gross has become a technician on the OL. The senior is always square and balanced from his feet to his shoulders. The big man trusts his footwork and agility to get him where he needs to be, whether mirroring a pass rusher or firing out of his stance in the run game. Logan is also very accurate with his hand placement and punches. Those hands pack a punch too. Enough to put DEs in the dirt on first contact. Gross also possesses the anchor strength to stand up bull rushers. Logan also uses leverage to his advantage as a run blocker and pass blocker. The nearly 6’4″ 265 lbs OT is one of the best at his position, and one of the top players still uncommitted. Tap into the film.

One of the most exciting WR prospects in WI is still on the market. Milton senior Ethan Mitchell Ethan Mitchell 6’5″ | 195 lbs | WR Milton | 2024 State WI has a special blend of size, speed, and strength that you don’t see often at the WR position. The 6’5″ 195 lbs senior is an accomplished track athlete, and uses that speed to get behind the defense. Ethan can take the top off a defense, and also go over the top of the defense with his massive catch radius, and ability to high point the football. Mitchell has good balance and body control to make the difficult catches along the sideline and run solid routes. He can get open with his athleticism or his sheer size. Ethan has proven over the past couple seasons to be a mismatch out wide. Check him out.
This is one of my pound the table athletes. One of the athletes I am confident has traits that will translate to the next level. Garrison is an explosive athlete at CB. He has dominant athlete traits needed for the position. Garrison can turn and run deep downfield with speed receivers. His feet, balance, and change of direction allow him to close on plays in front of him or stick with his man on short/intermediate routes. The senior knows how to create havoc at the catch point without being penalized as well. He has piled up the PBUs and as his career went on we saw many of those turn into INTs. Codde is a long athlete as well, and that gives him a bit of a cushion to take risks. His recovery speed also allows him to go for the big plays while still being able to recover. Don’t sleep on the stud CB.

A senior who is an impressive prospect, but has flown way under the radar is the 6’5″ 225 lbs TE/DE out of Fall Creek. Bo broke his leg in Week 1 unfortunately, so we didn’t get to see him dominate the field much. However, turn on the tape and you see the tools. First off, the size/length is elite. Not only does the size stand out from the crowd on the field, so does his speed. Bo is able to cover ground quickly with his long strides before and after the catch. Vollrath has soft hands, and isn’t afraid to play physical after the catch to pick up the yards after contact. Bo is also a reliable blocker out in space. He also provides soft hands, easily plucking the ball out of the air. Vollrath is also a talented basketball player. Check out the quick tape.
Ryan has proven to be a force on the edge of the Plymouth defense over the past couple seasons. The 6’2″ 220 lbs OLB looks the part of an OLB at the next level. He also has the attributes of a next level talent. Ryan is a strong, physical, stout edge defender. He willing takes on blocks, stands up pulling linemen, sheds blocks and makes tackles against the run. Koll is hard to get off his spot when trying to run his way. The senior also has made strides with his athleticism and agility. The senior tape shows an athlete who can move laterally to mirror, cut off, and close on ball carriers. Ryan is also a reliable, wrap up tackler. You can definitely count on Ryan to be an impact player against the run game early on. Check out the strong LB’s tape.
